General Overview

Our home on Canyon Lake, Texas is located in a quiet neighborhood on the South side of the lake with a view from just about every room. We are located near Sattler, Texas and are near to Boat Ramp 1. Enjoy watching the spectacular sunrises and the various wildlife that wander throughout the neighborhood - deer, foxes, skunks, and a lot of birds. Canyon Lake, Texas is a water sport paradise where folks come to play in it's clear waters. Boating, wake boarding, jet skiing and sailing are favorite past times on the lake, or you can tube in the nearby Guadalupe or Comal River. Canyon Lake is located near the town of Gruene, featuring it's famous dance hall, shops, and restaurants. The popular New Braunfels' Schlitterbahn water park is a short drive away, as are the artistic shops in Wimberly. San Antonio is about a 45 minute drive away, where you will find the Alamo, Riverwalk and the Mission San Jose.

The Space

Entrance is on the main level where the kitchen, living room and two bedrooms w/baths are located. The main level bedrooms have deck access. The lower level has the TV/dining room, two bedrooms (one king size bed and the other two twin trundle beds that combine to queen size), and a bathroom with shower. The sauna and hot tub are located in the "Cantina" off the lower level.

Guest Access

Two floors, one set of stairs. The front walkway from the driveway has two small step-ups that may require assistance for anyone using a walker or wheelchair.

Getting to my home

Take Hwy 306 to Sattler, then turn left on FM 2673. From FM 2673, turn right on to Triple Peak and stay left until you get to Village Shores.

Nearest airport

SAT - San Antonio is a 45 minute drive AUS - Austin is about an hour and a half drive

Getting Around

We are 30 minutes to New Braunfels where you will find good grocery stores (HEB), restaurants and shopping. There is no public transport. San Antonio is the closest major city and is approximately 45 - 1 hr away.

Dan and I have retired to our lake house in Canyon Lake, Texas. Dan is a retired geophysicist who has traveled extensively for his job and I am a CPA who would love to travel a lot more! We love hiking in the Pacific NW, sailing, and taking our wooden boat out for spin. We both love cooking and experimenting with new recipes and spices. I love to garden, attracting birds and owls to our property, and dabble at photography. Dan is pretty handy, swims every day, and wants to build a wooden boat. We both love the outdoors and taking daily walks, especially the local trails and water fronts.
