Neighbourhood

Vitré is a small medieval town (east of Brittany) of 18,000 inhabitants with a castle and a small historic center full of charm! The house is in a quiet residential area. Our house is 10 minutes walk from the historic center, shops and the S.N.C.F. (L.G.V access: Paris is less than 1 hour 30 minutes by train!). Vitré is large enough to find all the amenities (shops, weekly markets, gardens, leisure pool, restaurants and creperies!) and it is at the same time a quiet town where the countryside and hiking trails are never far away. We are close to many famous tourist sites: Rennes (30 minutes by car), Fougères (20 minutes), Mont-Saint Michel (1 hour) or Saint-Malo (1 hour), Paris by train (1 hour 30 minutes). .
