Neighbourhood
Vitré is a small medieval town (in the east of Brittany) of 18,000 inhabitants with a castle and a small historic centre full of charm! The house is in a quiet residential area. Our house is 10 minutes walk from the historic center, shops and the S.N.C.F. train station (L.G.V. access: Paris is less than 1 hour 30 minutes away by train!). Vitré is large enough to find all amenities (shops, weekly markets, gardens, leisure pool, restaurants and crêperies!) and at the same time it is a quiet town where the countryside and hiking trails are never far away.
We are close to many renowned tourist sites: Rennes (30 minutes by car), Fougères (20 minutes), Mont-Saint Michel (1 hour) or Saint-Malo (1 hour), Paris by train (1 hour 30 minutes)...

People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
