Neighbourhood
Vitré is a small medieval town (in the east of Brittany) of 18,000 inhabitants with a castle and a small historic centre full of charm! The house is in a quiet residential area. Our house is 10 minutes walk from the historic center, shops and the S.N.C.F. train station (L.G.V. access: Paris is less than 1 hour 30 minutes away by train!). Vitré is large enough to find all amenities (shops, weekly markets, gardens, leisure pool, restaurants and crêperies!) and at the same time it is a quiet town where the countryside and hiking trails are never far away.
We are close to many renowned tourist sites: Rennes (30 minutes by car), Fougères (20 minutes), Mont-Saint Michel (1 hour) or Saint-Malo (1 hour), Paris by train (1 hour 30 minutes)...
