General overview
Anything is possible!
Hidden treasure very close to The Old City
Stress free vacation - lots of toys and space
Easy access to a great city park and the beach
We are very happy to organize an exchange in 2023, especially we would love to go to Israel and Portugal but anything is possible!
The space
Our apartment's location is exceptional : hidden in the greenest area of Gdańsk, yet very close to The Old City and the beach! We love our place because is very comfortable - 3 bedrooms ( 2 double beds, 1 single bed plus air mattress) and two bathrooms, a very nice kitchen - living room area. Here is everything you may need to enjoy your vacation. The apartment is very clean and if you would like - we can arrange a cleaning lady to come and then you can be lazy even more :) :)
It has lots of toys and books for children ( also in English).
We don't have a TV but there is a computer and projector you can use to watch movies.
Dishwaher, washing machine, wi-fi and everything else you may need to make your stay comfortable is here. We have 4 bicycles for you to use.
Guest access
The apartment is located on the 4th floor without an elevator. You can have access to all the rooms in the apartment - 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and 1,5 bathrooms.
Notes
We have 3 cats, Dzidzia, Hania and Misia - they need to be fed and loved :)

Last Fall I had the pleasure of hosting the Sterns from the US. From my home they went on to an exchange with Karolina in Gdansk, an exchange they were really happy about :-)
So when I shortly after saw that Karolina offered her home for a non-sim swap, I reached out and within no time we had organized for me to come for a long weekend with my dad (took him for his Birthday).
Communicating with Karolina was super easy and smooth, always quick repsonses and happy to answer whatever questions I had, even upon the day of arrival where we ran into a bit challenge when the key box wouldn't open.
I contacted Karolina and within 25 mins she had someone come over with a spare key :-)
My dad an I had a lovely weekend in Gdansk, such a lovely town even in Winter time. The wether was decent while we were there so we spent hours walking around the town, making pit stops at different cafés here and there.
We also visitted the WW2 museum and spent some hours there without even seeing it all, def well worth a visit.
It is really cheap to (grocery) shop in Poland so a little will get you far.
Karolinas apartment was super nice and cosy, with everything we needed for our stay. Just by the apartment buildings are little shops like pharmacy, bakery, take away etc. and there is a Carrefour (grocery shopping) about 10 mins walk away - super nice and easy.
We had the pleasure of Pepsi the cat, who was super low maintenance as he preferred to stick to himself during out stay.
Over all I can only give my best recommendations to exchanging with Karolina and I'm hoping to return to Gdansk in Summer time where I'm sure the town and surroundings will be a brilliant place to visit and one can fully enjoy what it has to offer :-)
We spent a week at Karolina’s lovely home in Gdańsk. What a beautiful place! Gdańsk surprised us with its many forested hills right in the city, its gorgeous old town and its friendly people. We’ve never had so many people offer their bus seats to our young children. Karolina’s home is spacious and warm. Our kids loved playing with the toys and we loved the views of the sunsets and the many skylights. The area is quiet and residential, away from the busy hubbub but still a short bus ride to old town. In the housing area, there are many small playgrounds and some beautiful wooded trails. We took the overnight ferry from Karlskrona to Gdinya and highly recommend this travel route. Karolina was so helpful with ideas for what to see and visit and how to get around. We are excited to host them at our home in the future!

It was lovely to host Lone and her father at our place. They were super nice and I hope to see Lone in the future. Have a great one :) Thank you!

Karolina
There is Karolina ( 45 and counting :)), Mario ( keeps it quiet :)), Bianka ( 14 years old, piano player), Kosma ( 11 years old, trumpet and lego player).
We are active members of couchsurfing.com and through that organization we had 4, very successful exchanges in the past! Also we have an account on other homeexchange website through which we had 17 successful exchanges. We are a very easy going family that loves to travel but also loves having guests in the house. We always try to think positive, we are understanding and a very low maintenance :) We have been travelling with the kids and without them for the last 15 years. Hope we will have the opportunity to travel more around the world :) we have one cat, pepsi, she sometimes stays at home.
