General overview

We live in a very quiet neighbourhood, with very little traffic. A 2klm walk will take you to Glenelg - a beachside area of shops and restaurants, cafes and pubs. Our beaches are clean white sand with safe water and are uncrowded. Dolphins can often be seen playing near the shore. Coastal walks and bike paths stretch along the coast for miles. We often ride our bikes to Henley Beach and enjoy a coffee at the cafes overlooking the sea. Public transport is only a few hundred metres away both buses and tram. We are 5klms from the airport but not under the flight path so the noise is not a problem. There is a supermarket, butcher and newsagent and a few other shops 200mts down the road. The city is 11 klms away and the tram will take you straight to the heart of Adelaide with museums, art galleries, shops, restaurants etc etc. The central market in the heart of the city by the tram stop, is fantastic for all manner of gourmet foods, fresh fruit and vegetables, small goods and much more.

The space

Large kitchen living room, large living / dining room. Outdoor roofed patio with dining table and chairs. Two double bedrooms with queen sized beds. Bathroom with bath and separate shower. Separate toilet. There is a covered patio with barbeque and table and chairs in the garden There is ample off street parking for 2 cars

Susan

We (Ian and Susan) are retired and love to travel. We have travelled extensively in Australia, mainly in the Outback as we love camping and caravanning. We spent 2014 and 2015 working our way around Australia and each year try to get away for the winter. Over the years we have done home exchanges in Italy both short and a long term (6 months) in 2016. We have also done a number of home sits, all of which involved caring for animals. Helping a cow give birth at one sit was not expected though!
