Neighbourhood
Our house is in a safe gated community where it is safe to walk/exercise at night. There are no stray dogs, etc, inside the neighborhood and cars drive slower. It is in a quieter part of the city that is outside of Pattaya proper.
Nearest airport
Suvarnabhumi airport is 1.5 hours away
Getting around
Using a car is necessary in Thailand, but you can use a driver/taxi/Grab/Bolt service instead of driving as it can be stressful. We have a (small) car to swap if you want to drive.

We are a family of 4 who love to travel and be active. Our boys are school age (8 and 5) so unfortunately we are mostly limited to travel during school breaks - July, August, December, and April. We currently live in Pattaya, Thailand where we love to go to the beach, kite board, hike, and own a climbing gym so we do a lot of climbing too! We are half Thai half American, currently living in Thailand, but spent many years in Colorado, USA.
We haven't had the chance to do any exchanges but have used and hosted (a different house) on Airbnb with great reviews.
