General Overview

Our family friendly home has 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and is situated in a gated community 10 minutes from the beach in Pattaya (Jomtien beach). There is a beautiful communal pool and small gym available for use, and our private yard, house, and patio feel like your own oasis but still close to all the amenities and attractions Pattaya has to offer (though note that attractions are a ~20 minute drive away, we are NOT in an area walkable to things). We have plenty of games, toys, and even beach equipment you could use. We also have a car available to swap if you feel comfortable driving here, as well as a trusted housekeeper who is happy to clean 1-3 times a week for you for around $15-$20/day if you prefer. We are outside of the main area and hustle and bustle of Pattaya city, but you can go into the city and see tourist attractions within 20-30 minutes drive. Bangkok is 2 hours away, the airport is 1.5 hours away. A small grocery store and even a Thai night market is walkable from the house or 2 minute drive. 1 minute away is a climbing gym :), 10 minutes away is kite-surfing, wind surfing, SUP, and wing foiling beach (with lessons available), multiple golf courses. 20-30 minutes away are 2 different water parks, Pattaya city with malls and world famous nIgHtliFe, sheep farm, wakeboard park, indoor playground mall, more beaches, Koh Larn, Sanctuary of Truth temple, go-karting, and of course Thai food all around you!

The Space

The master bed and guest bedroom have king beds. The "kid bedroom" has 2 single beds. It is all open air but screened in so that bugs (mosquitoes!) don't come in. Each individual room can also be closed off and air conditioned as it does tend to get hot in Thailand, especially in the afternoons. We have a large, beautiful yard and patio to relax in.

Guest Access

Our house is single storey, you have access to the whole house, as well as the communal pool and gym in the neighborhood which is a 2 minute walk away.

Neighbourhood

Our house is in a safe gated community where it is safe to walk/exercise at night. There are no stray dogs, etc, inside the neighborhood and cars drive slower. It is in a quieter part of the city that is outside of Pattaya proper.

Getting to my home

It's best to get a taxi or pre-arranged driver to my home from the airport which is 1.5-2 hours away.

Getting Around

Using a car is necessary in Thailand, but you can use a driver/taxi/Grab/Bolt service instead of driving as it can be stressful. We have a (small) car to swap if you want to drive.

We are a family of 4 who love to travel and be active. Our boys are school age (9 and 6) so unfortunately we are mostly limited to travel during school breaks - mid-March, April, and December We currently live in Pattaya, Thailand where we love to go to the beach, kite board, hike, and own a climbing gym so we do a lot of climbing too! We are half Thai half American, currently living in Thailand, but spent many years in Colorado, USA. We done one exchange and have used and hosted (a different house) on Airbnb with great reviews.
