General Overview

Our family friendly (and pet, possibly, if discussed) apartment is located just outside of Paris in the suburb of Issy-les-Moulineaux. It is across the street from the Seine river, and from the Île Saint-Germaine, an island with a huge park with open spaces, playgrounds, walking/biking paths, and a pony club. From our home it is an easy 5 minute tram ride to Paris and the M12 or M8 metro. The closest tram stop is about a 3 minute walk away (T2). Across the street is a large grocery store, and there are restaurants and bakeries within easy walking distance. The apartment itself has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a bunk bed. The couch in the living room is a convertible and could fit 2 more people, though the apartment is probably best for up to 4. There is a shower bathroom and separate toilet room. The kitchen/dining/living room is open floorplan. Our apartment is on the ground floor. We do have a free parking space, but no car. For heat it is underfloor heating. We do not have a/c, however the apartment stays relatively cool especially if you open some windows overnight. We have insect netting up. Though it can get a little noisy at times so if you're sensitive I would bring ear plugs. In case of heat wave, keeping shutters closed during the day and opening up at night keeps it manageable and we have a fan for each room. At it's worst it got up to 28/29 in the evening for a couple days during the heat waves.

The Space

We do have a small patio and yard, but if you'd like more outdoor space I'd recommend just going across the street to the island! We are on a somewhat busy road, but the windows cut the noise and if you're inside with them closed it isn't noticeable. We will have insect netting on the windows in the summer and fans.

Guest Access

Our apartment is on the ground floor. There is an elevator from the parking lot. Access from the outside is through a locked gate and 2 additional locked doors.

Groceries, walking, biking, playgrounds, boulangeries, restaurants, tram station, climbing gym, library, mall are less than 10 minute walk away. All the sights of Paris are within an hour (most are less) on pubilc transportation!

We are a family of 4 who love to travel and be active. Our boys are school age (11 and 8) so unfortunately we are mostly limited to travel during school breaks - 2 weeks in February, April, October, December, and July-August.
