Neighbourhood

Glenties is a five time winner of the All Ireland Tidy Town competition. It is the birthplace of Patrick McGill the Navvy poet and The resting place of Brien Friel, playwright best known for writing 'Dancing at Lughnasa' which was made into a film starring Meryl Streep. Town is situated between three glens and is a great base for touring all the sights in North west Donegal. People are friendly and several beautiful beaches are less than 20 minutes drive away. Also perfect for hiking/walking. Please see www.discoverdonegal.ie

Getting around

Better to have your own car, swap with us or hire as public transport isn't great.
