Algemeen overzicht

Enjoy the mountain life and easy small town of Salida! We live in a quaint farmhouse in a great location in town. We recently built a lovely detached garage with an apartment above on our lot. The apartment is a sunny 700 square feet and overlooks our garden and lawn. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom guest house ideal for couples, solo adventurers, small families, and traveling medical professionals. Comfortable king size bed in the bedroom, high quality queen sleeper sofa in the living room, waterfall shower, and a complete kitchen with a dining table and counter bar.

De ruimte

The living space is lovely and bright with tall ceilings and high quality furniture. The kitchen is nice and clean and includes everything you would need to make your favorite meals or feasts. Grocery stores, bakeries, shops, restaurants, parks, and downtown are all within walking distance.

Toegang voor je gasten

There is parking available for one vehicle, and you will go up stairs to get up to the apartment. Access is located in the alley. Once you’re here, you would not need your car for anything in town. We are walking distance to everything in town. I would suggest a car if you are looking to explore the surrounding mountains and communities such as climbing and hiking 14ers, soaking in hot springs (6 all within 5-60 min drive), biking the Crest, skiing Monarch (actually, for this you could take the shuttle), and exploring nature.

Unless we are away, we would be your neighbors. We are happy to help with anything you may need while you were here. We are a friendly and active family of four. We will respect your space, and give your room you need, or meet you for a beverage for some friendly conversation and laughs!

Omgeving

The town of Salida is a creative district, with friendly locals, art galleries, fun shops, music, event center, dining, pubs and breweries. If you enjoy the outdoors, you will love it here! There’s hiking and mountain bike trails right from the front door, river rafting through town, golf 1 block away, fishing, fourteeners, Monarch ski area, class IV whitewater rafting. I could go on and on…it’s a year round natural playground with a small, fun quaint town. We’re happy to share our favorites with you and help plan your fun and adventure!

Naar mijn huis gaan

Salida is located approximately 3 hours from Denver or 2 hours from Colorado Springs. There are no car rental agencies here in town, but there’s also no traffic here either! You can rent your toys! Bikes rentals or available from the bike shops, tubes and river boards to play in the river in the summertime, skis and snowboards to go skiing at Monarch in the winter.

Actief gezin van vier. We zijn een erg aardige en respectabele familie die graag buiten is. Brian houdt van bergbeklimmen en drijven op ons vlot op de rivieren. Amy houdt van mountainbiken en wandelen, onze twee jongens hebben het geluk dat allemaal met ons te doen. We hebben ook een pup, Indy. Ze is heel lief en reist soms met ons mee.
