My flat is a cozy 2-bedroom apartment located in a peaceful neighborhood, with a forest just a short walk behind and a vibrant city to explore in front—both within a 10-minute walk.
The space
The apartment is fully equipped and offers some unique extras. It includes a hammock in the living room (for one person max), as well as two sewing machines, fabrics and yarn for a creative exploration; in the main bedroom there is yoga equipment such as a mat, belt, blocks, and a yoga wheel and also a keyboard.
Additionally, there is a guest sofa in the living room, and plenty of mirror space, which is perfect for dancing or training. For those who enjoy juggling, there are a few juggling toys available. A pole has recently been added to the living room, which is not yet on the pictures, but of course can be used also or easily stored away.
Apart from the bed- and living room there is a bathroom with shower and toilet. And the kitchen is equipped with a variety of cooking machines as well as a dishwasher and washing machine.
Guest access
The apartment is on the second floor, accessible by about 20 steps of stairs. There is no elevator.
Notes
I would prefer environmentally conscious tenants and would especially appreciate individuals who follow a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. While this is not a requirement, it would be a nice bonus.
Other than that please note, I don't own a coffee machine or dryer. However, there is an espresso cooker and a clothes rack for drying laundry.

Neighbourhood
The apartment is located in a quiet area, yet it is still very central. It takes just 15 minutes on foot to reach Karl-Heine-Strasse or Palmengarten. By bike, you can quickly get to Auwald or Clara-Zetkin-Park. There are a few bars and restaurants nearby, and the neighboring district of Plagwitz offers even more options for dining, drinks, and nightlife.
Getting to my home
The apartment is located directly behind the Kaufland at Lindenauer Markt. The tram stations “Lindenauer Markt” and “Angerbrücke” are both about seven to eight minutes away on foot and reach the main station within 13 minutes.
Nearest airport
The nearest airport is Leipzig/Halle Airport, which is easily accessible by public transport or car. There is a direct train from the airport to the main station, which takes about 20 minutes.
Getting around
For shopping, Kaufland and dm are just a short walk away. A Lidl and a store with weekly special offers are also nearby. For evenings out, there are a few bars and restaurants in the immediate area, while Plagwitz offers a wider selection and is easy to reach.
While I'm not a big fan of the public transportation in Leipzig, you can get everywhere and my place has access to 4 different lines of trams. I am more than happy to lend you my two bikes, which aren't the fanciest ones, but will get you anywhere faster than the buses and trams ;)

Hi there, I'm Gill, and I’m excited to share my home with people looking for a cute and cozy atmosphere surrounded by greenery—both inside and outside the apartment.
While I’d call myself an experienced traveler and subletter, this is my first time trying a home exchange. So for the next year, I’m excited to dive into this new adventure, starting with exchanges in the UK to get a feel for what life might be like on the island :)
As for me, I am based in Leipzig, where I'm studying UX Design and working for a tech company that lets me work remotely for a few weeks each year. Beyond work and study, I’m a curious explorer who loves discovering different cultures, connecting with nature, and finding inspiration in the unknown. I equally enjoy a peaceful yoga session and a good cold beer—it’s all about balance!
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
