We are located in the centre of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador - a farm right in the city. Our farm is in parkland with trail access for snowshoeing, hiking, and skiing right out the door. It’s just a short drive to all amenities and to places like The Rooms - Newfoundland and Labradors art gallery and museum, George Street - the most bars on any one block in all of North America, and beautiful downtown St. John’s with its jellybean row houses and harbour. A 20 minute drive from town takes you to beaches and to the most eastern point of North America, Cape Spear.
The space
Our home is a 2-story from the 1970s. We have wood heating and a ton of wood to keep you warm during any winter storms. One bathroom and three bedrooms, wood laminate flooring. The main bedroom is good for cosleepers and bedsharing, it has a king size bed and twin xl all pushed together. The other two bedrooms are children’s bedrooms, one with a futon and the other with a double mattress.
Bathtub gets its own space for all the cozy. Wifi and tv to hook up your own internet viewing. Walk out the door to trees and trails, horses across the road, maybe see a moose walk by! We also have a firepit, a load of wood, a beautiful climbing tree if you have kids!
Guest access
2 floors, and a basement with laundry.
Notes
We also have two farm cats! One is particularly snuggly, though may take a bit to warm up to you. They really do like having people around.
This is an older style house from the 1970s. We are in the slow long process of fixing it up. We have so far done all the floors except the master bedroom, which is still carpet. Main floor is cork and bamboo laminate, old wood on the stairs, and two kids bedrooms have wood laminate. Roof was recently redone as well. We also use a septic system and a well for water.

We are a family of 4 - farmers, builders, creators, adventurers. Jeremy (58) and Leisha (42) have previously completed housesits in France, Montreal, and Costa Rica with our two little people ages 8 and 3. We have been excited to show them the world, to teach them about diversity and inclusion, to love animals and nature. We have cared for horses, chickens, dogs and cats and made so many friends - people and animals - in the process.
We are a farming family for most of the year and use the off season (Canadian winter) to travel and teach our children about the world. Leisha is a stay at home parent and in a past life was a doula, a writer, and a worker for non-profit anti-violence agencies. Leisha loves to bake and cook, create quilts, knit, and garden. Jeremy is a farmer and an artist with an eye for building and design. We also have two cats!
