General overview

Our area of Costa Rica is great for hiking, hunting waterfalls, and mountain driving with rich views day or night. We have a marvelous farmers' market and are convenient to restaurants and many grocery stores. Our home is a 40 minute drive to the airport, SJO. Great day trips to hot springs, coffee tours, the beach and exploring the capital, San Jose.

The space

The house has a comfortable living room and kitchen. There is a family room with a terrace. We have three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with a double bed. Bedrooms are on the top floor. We have plenty of space to relax after a day of hiking, swimming at a waterfall or shopping.

Our house has four levels. Bottom to top: 1. Garage and laundry 2. Family room and terrace 3. (Main entry) Living room, kitchen, office, half bathroom 4. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms

Notes

Grecia is a popular dental tourism destination. We have many US educated dentists who often see US patients. I can connect you if you want low cost, quality dental work. Please Note: We charge a $35 dollar cleaning fee for all non reciprocal stays. This fee can be paid upon your arrival.

Neighbourhood

The agricultural town of Grecia has become a home to 70,000 people. This mountain city has ideal weather with highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 60s all year long. We have rainy afternoons from May through November and beautiful sunsets nearly everyday. Surrounded by sugarcane fields and coffee plantations, Grecia's 45 minute proximity to San Jose makes this area an easy commute. Our home is near popular activities & tours as well as many family-owned restaurants and our local farmer's market.

Getting to my home

Fly into SJO. We are 30 to 40 minutes away. You can rent a car or we can pick you up depending on our agreement. Our home is walking distance to any necessities, food, bus, or entertainment. Cabs are readily available in Costa Rica.

Nearest airport

The SJO airport is approximately 35 minutes from our house. We can arrange a pickup if needed.

Getting around

With taxis easy to use, a car isn't necessary for daily living. If you will be using our house as a launch point, we have a nearby car rental office.
