General overview
A modern cabin in the California Redwoods. 20 minutes from some of the best beaches in California and an hour from San Francisco. Come explore the California Coast with lots to see and do including hiking the Redwoods and coastline, visiting the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, taking a drive to explore the scenic Highway 1 down to Monterey, Carmel or Big Sur, or spend the day up in San Francisco. Then return to the cabin for some deck time with some nice wine and the fresh forest air. Experience California living at its best!
The space
Welcome to our recently remodeled 1925 Santa Cruz Mountain cabin. Enjoy a kitchen socked for a professional chef that opens to a large, beautiful deck that includes a pizza oven, built in BBQ, string lighting and firepit. Nights spent out of the deck, with good food, good wine and good company are magical.
Guest access
There are stairs leading up to the front door.
Notes
Please note that this is a high wildfire risk area. BBQ and pizza oven use may be banned during high risk times. Firepit is propane and safe to use year round.
We do have a sometime indoor but mostly outdoor cat. Other than when it is really cold he prefers to stay outside. We will ask you to feed him during your stay.
For local swaps, we are dog friendly, although we ask that they stay off the furniture.

Family of four. Sometimes its the whole gang, but most often its just mom and dad sneaking away for a little mini adventure. Currently looking for long weekends within driving distance of our home, or food destination cities in the US. Still have one kid in school which can effect dates for travel. Husband retired, wife works remotely. Have pets so love exchanges that include pet care on both ends, or dog friendly for more local exchanges.
