Neighbourhood
The home is located in the historic residential section of downtown Leadville. The street is lined with beautiful Victorian homes and breathtaking views. It is a quiet street, but two blocks away is the bustling main street, Harrison Ave, where you will find many restaurants, shops, and attractions. There is also access to the 11.6 mile paved Mineral Belt biking trail just a few blocks away. The trail loops around Leadville passing through the historic East Side Mining District.
Leadville is an old (and was once the richest in Colorado!) mining town that has one of the best preserved 19th century main streets in the mountains. It is cute and quaint and the fresh mountain air can't be beat.

Leadville sits at the base of the two tallest mountains in Colorado (Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive) and holds the title of highest city in the United States (elevation is 10,200 ft). The valley is also the headwaters of the Arkansas River; if you're into fishing, this is a spectacular place to come. Hiking, biking, camping, fishing, atv'ing, dog sledding, zip-lining and just about any other outdoor mountain activity you can think of , Leadville is at the heart of it all.
Leadville is a short driving distance to many of the amazing sites in the central Colorado Rockies. For winter sports, the major ski resorts are a short drive away including Ski Cooper (15 minutes), Copper Mountain (30 minutes), Vail and Beaver Creek (60 minutes), Breckenridge and Keystone (50 minutes). In the summer, you can visit Aspen via the stunning Independence Pass. There is also white water rafting in Buena Vista (30 minutes).
Leadville has a good sized grocery store, hospital, and community athletic center (pool).
Nearest airport
Denver International Airport is 2 -2.5 hours away.
Getting around
