A family house close to the sea with a small town nearby plus the city of Gothenburgh within 25 minutes driving. Perfect for outdoor activities, forest or sea and lakes. If you are a family or couple there are activities and sights to suit most.
Gothenburg, the second largest city of Sweden, offers all kinds of entertainment, culture, restaurants etc. We have a great amusement park that is fantastic to visit all year round, https://www.liseberg.se/. We have lakes, the sea, and lots out outdoor areas for nice walks, cafees etc near Kungsbacka and Gothenburg.

Copenhagen in Denmark is only 3,5 hrs by train from my home.
The space
3 bedrooms located on two floors, open plan kitchen/diner. large garden with wooden decks around. Lovely view from the top floor.
Master bedroom with double bed (180cm). Second bedroom on ground floor is small-ish with a 90 cm wide bed. Third bedroom is on the first floor with a 140 cm wide bed. Kitchen/dining room is open floorplan. Bathroom with shower on ground floor and on the first floor a toilet. First floor also has a tv/lounge area for relaxing.
There is also a conservatory used from May-September
With my home comes Leo the cat. He stays outdoors at all times but needs a feed - and cuddle if you like :-).
No problems however should you stay away, i can always ask a neighbour to feed Leo.
Guest access
Two floors.
Wheelchair access is limited as there are a few steps to the entrance and also to the first floor of the house.
Notes
Leo the cat lives with us and i would prefer if he can stay while guests are here (note: he sleeps outside at night but requires feeding)

People Like Us Local Guide
Happy to meet up and give some advice and guidance
Lisa’s home was our base for a good week end of July. We had great contact during the whole process and can only recommend Lisa’s tastefully finished house and really comfortable bed and couches. There are multiple decks you can sit and enjoy the sun (we enjoyed a week of full sunshine so also looked up the shade). The back is more quiet than the front and it’s nice to have the option to be in different outdoor spaces.
There are so many things to see, we went to Gothenburg a very short ride twice, but the second time only to go island hopping by public transportation (we bought the day card which was really cheap).
However, the rest of the time we enjoyed the local splendour, the fjord, the villages, hikes in nearby nature reserves. There’s so much to see and do if you like us like the mix of nature, city and relaxing in a really nice home after a day of adventure.
Lisa many thanks for letting us visit with our dog Molly, even your cat Leo let us stay! We enjoyed our evening together and hope we will meet again! This exchange comes highly recommended.
Thank you Lisa for welcoming us to your home!
Lisa has a beautiful and spacious home with everything you need. The house was tidy and clean and had a nice garden and a lovely conservatory where we had breakfast every morning. There is a really nice beach close by and the kids enjoyed some crab fishing. The best pizza ever is just a 2 min walk from the house!! We were lucky to meet both Lisa and her lovely daughter. They were both really sweet and helpful. We fell in love with Leo the cat!❤️ Thank you so much for a great vacation Lisa! I hope to see you again some day!
I'm a newbie in home exchange, and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to exchange homes with Lisa. It has given me wonderful memories. It's a peaceful place that makes you feel at ease. The house is cozy and allows you to relax and unwind. I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing life there, feeling like a local. It has been a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend you exchanging with Lisa.
We had the most wonderful time in Lisa's home - it is the most restful, airy, comfortable house and we loved our stay here! We had everything we could possibly need - a terrific kitchen to cook in, very comfy beds and a very beautiful loving room with a huge couch and a stunning view of the gorgeous area in which Lisa lives. We loved Leo - the most independent and courteous cat we have ever met - we looked forward to meeting him every evening we came home. Onsala is a lovely area and you might be lucky enough to be there at a time when the observatory is open for visitors - we also loved nearby Kungsbacka and in the surrounding area there is everything one could need in terms of dining, shopping and lovely walks. Goteborg is 25 away by car and is a fantastic city - absolutely worth a number of days exploration. Some stunning islands are also nearby - many of which are accessible and truly worth visiting - we went to Marstrand and if we had time we would have explored more - this area of Western Sweden is extraordinarily beautiful and we will be back!
the exchange made with Lisa was non-reciprocal with the exchange of a Globe.
Lisa was with her daughters very discreet in our house because nothing has changed or moved. I found my house as I left it with chocolate, vin mousseux and a marvelous candle. thank you Lisa. your little word made us very happy and made you like our region here in the Basque country. Come back whenever you want.
see you soon maybe.
Thank you Sarah for your kind words!
We miss our holiday already 🤗❤️
Lisa is a warm, lovely, kind and very gracious lady - communications were a joy all the way through our planning and we were so lucky to meet briefly at the airport - we would have loved more time to chat and get to know each other better! She and her friends were fantastic guests in our home - so understanding and generous and they left everything in perfect condition - we would be so delighted to welcome them back any time.
Maria and Leo were the perfect guests: communicative, excited, positive, caring and very warm hearted couple! They took great care of my cat, plants, and house so I felt very relaxed knowing my home was in great hands While i was away.
It was so nice meeting up IRL and we had communication before and during their stay so made things very easy.
They left with my house probably cleaner than when they arrived (!), and left me a beautiful gift - would be lovely to have Maria and Leo around again, including little dog Molly! I can thoroughly recommend them as guests 😊
Thank you so much for the kind words and as you know we look back on a perfect week in a very comfortable home. Thanks for opening your home and making it possible!
Excellent and lovely guests! All positive!
Unfortunately our exchange did not take place due to illness.
Communication was Great though.
Sarahs home was perfectly located in the heart of the French part of Pays Basque. Very cosy, clean and welcoming! Perfect for the 3 of us.
Location is absolutely fantastic- close to the mountains, countryside, beach, towns. You will need a car to travel around but very easy to drive.
Such a pretty scenary! Will definitely go back to this part of the world, and can highly recommend Sarahs home.
Sarah has been Great in answering all kinds of questions from us very quickly :). We were also greeted with a lovely welcome pack and Great information, Maps etc!
Heidi Elvira and family were absolutely lovely! I had the fortune of meeting them before i went off to France. They really looked after my house - when it Unfortunately poured Down with rain, they made sure to take in all cushions etc for my Outdoor furniture, they took Great care of my cat Leo and watered my plants. Ever so grateful for their help 🥰
Janis apartment was small but perfect for our purpose: we stayed for 3 nights and location could not have been better. Very central quiet area and next to a lovely little park. I highly recommed for a small family or company. They were really good at recommending places to visit, transport etc.
Janis and husband were perfect guests! They looked after our cat and watered the plants.
They wrote to me asking if They could fix my garden Doors, and did i have a saw and hammer- seriously, Nothing i would ever expect, so Kind of them and so appreciated!
They left my home spotless- would highly recommend as guests!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Marys and Johns place in Dublin! Their house is gorgeous; very quirky, cosy, large and really welcoming. They had put out a lovely welcome basket and some great suggestions for how do get around their area and beyond. Living very close to the tram station and still in a quiet rural area made it perfect! We were lucky to meet up briefly at the airport - an absolutely lovely family! I really recommend exchanging with them!
Mary, John and their son were the best house and cat sitters ever :-). They fed our cat, watered the plants and my house was spotless when i came home after the exchange. Lovely people all around - hope to meet again.

i live on my own but have two grown up daughters who occassionally move back home again as they are currently studying abroad. I have a cat who i would prefer to be able to stay at home while i have guests here. I have exchanged houses a few times before and love it! such a great way to see the world! i work full time but can be fairly flexible in exchanging as working remotely works out too.
