Our home sits in a cradle at the intersection of two rolling hills. The hills are farmed by the indigenous Guatemala people creating a stunning patchwork quilt of flowers and crops. At times, the hills and gardens are in full bloom with poinsettias, marigolds, roses and countless tropical plants. Birds of all kinds live and migrate through the surrounding trees, feasting on our oranges and macadamias making for exciting birdwatching. Our gardens are best for tranquility - painting, writing or playing a game of chess underneath the majestic cieba tree. The house is simple, four bedrooms each with private bathroom, large garden with coffee, citrus, macadamias, and flowers. Our dining room and patio offer stunning volcano views - but don't worry, not an active one! It is a 20 minute drive into the charming historic town of Antigua, Guatemala.

Neighbourhood
The house/property is next to a small village of about 300 indigenous Mayan families who proudly live much like their ancestors have lived for centuries. They farm and weave. The village is walking distance from the house and safe with kind people.
Getting to my home
International flights into Guatemala land at Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City. This is about 1-1/2 hour driving distance to our home depending on time of day and day of week traffic. (For example Friday evening has more traffic than a Tuesday afternoon) There are shared shuttles from the Airport to Antigua and private transportation is easy and affordable directly to the house. We can recommend a trusted private taxi! Car rental is also an option from the Aurora Airport.
Nearest airport
Aurora Airport, Guatemala City
Getting around
The house is only about 20 minutes from Antigua. Uber is a reasonable option.
