People Like Us Local Guide
I’d love to meet up for a drink or a hike with anyone who is in our area!
Zara and Bill's lovely home is a great home base to explore Virginia, Shenandoah National Park, and West Virginia. It's clean and comfortable, and though we didn't have kids with us, I'm certain it's a paradise for kids--a pool, a very cool treehouse, toys, and a gate that leads to a path through the woods. We had a wonderful time.
Zara and her 2 kids were fantastic guests. They took great care of our home during their stay. They even brought us some nice gifts : bbq sauces from their city. We recommend you to host Zara and family.
Last week we had the pleasure of staying in Hannah and Cedric’s apartment in Paris. It was such a comfortable place to land after our flight from the US. Hannah and Cedric were everything you’d ask for in a host- they provided so much helpful information about getting around the city, groceries and restaurants. Even gave us a tip to avoid the line at the Louvre! If you ever get the chance to exchange with these sweet people, do it! The two bedrooms and two baths were especially nice to have as we all dealt with jet lag a little bit differently. And they are a very short 5 min walk to the main metro line that takes you to all the big Paris sights. Excellent exchange and well worth the globe we traded!
Lisa and her husband were a joy to host! They were so friendly and easy to communicate with before and during their stay. They were also very understanding when we had to reschedule our stay in their home due to COVID. I’d highly recommend hosting them if you get the chance, they left our home nice and clean and even left us a wonderful bottle of wine :)

We’re a world schooling, travel loving family of two adults and two kids, ages 13 and 16. We have a mini golden doodle who can come with us when welcome, and stay behind if not. Lots of times, it’s just mom and the two kids traveling. We will sometimes be traveling with grandparents or my best friend and her kids as we homeschool as a pod.
