General overview
Visit Arizona’s second-largest city, a UNESCO City of Gastronomy and a year-round outdoor playground.
There are more than 350 days of sunshine in Tucson. It’s really an outdoor type person’s paradise. You can golf, play tennis or pickleball, hike and bike ride or even explore caverns.
We are bicyclists and love our Chuck Huckleberry Loop where you can bike, walk or skate over 100 miles on a safe paved multiuser path.
Saguaro National Park straddles the east and west sides of the city, with more than 91,000 acres to explore.
Arizona was part of Mexico for longer than it has been part of the U.S. meaning that the influences of Mexican culture are distinctly felt in every corner of the city. From the art and music to the delicious food, Mexico's spirit is Tucson's soul.
The space
Our home is a 1700 sq ft single story home with no steps. There are 2 bedrooms, for your use.
The master bedroom has a King bed. The master bath has two sinks, a toilet closet and a shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the guest bath with a bathtub is right next to it.
We have an open floorplan and high ceilings that make the house feel much bigger than it is. My favorite room is the kitchen which has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a snack bar with 4 chairs. There is also a breakfast nook with a table and 6 chairs. There is plenty of counter space to prepare meals and a walk-in pantry with a Kitchenaid mixer, a heavy duty blender for making smoothies, and toaster oven. There is also a gas stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher.
The backyard is a typical desert backyard with artificial turf, decorative gravel, trees and plants. The patio is covered and has two outdoor tables and chairs and a barbeque. We love to go out to our backyard for a glass of wine in the evenings to watch the sunsets.
The living room has a comfy couch with a TV where you can watch Youtube TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime
There is also a cozy sitting room that is great for curling up with a book. The chair pulls out into a single bed to accommodate that 5th person.
We love to sit in the back yard to relax with a glass of wine while watching the sunset or have our morning coffee. There is also a section of artificial grass where we like to play cornhole.
Guest access
Our home is single story. As long as your vehicle is not over-sized, there will be room for you to park in our garage.

The neighborhood is a nice quiet family-friendly neighborhood.
Getting to my home
Getting to our home is pretty simple. From the Tucson airport, take Interstate 10, going West towards Phoenix, take the Cortaro Road exit going east to Thornydale Rd. Turn left (north) on Thornydale and then right onto Hardy Rd. Another right on Ash Grove Ct and we are the 4th house on the right.
Nearest airport
Tucson International Airport is 20 miles away from our home. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is 100 miles (1.5 hrs) away.
Getting around
We are located just a mile from a grocery store and restaurants. Just walking distance away is a very nice desert reserve for walking or mountain biking.
Tucson is the winner of numerous awards related to bicycling, running, hiking and outdoor lifestyle. The Loop, a car-free paved multi-use path is just a couple of miles away. The Loop provides a way to get around the city, enjoying nature and magnificent mountain views as you walk, job, bike, skate or horseback ride around town. The Loop extends 131 miles through Tucson, South Tucson, Oro Valley and Marana. There are 50 parking lots around the Loop.
Tucson is a pretty big city with a lot to see, you will need a car to get around unless you are an avid cyclist and bring your bike(s)

Both my husband Bob and I are retired and now have lots of time to travel. We enjoy the outdoors and our passion is bicycling. Our goal is to bike in all of the United States.
