Neighbourhood

We live on the outskirts of a lovely quiet village, with 2 pubs, a micro bar, pharmacy & village store. The links to the motorway are less than 5 mins drive from the house. It takes approx 40 mins to drive to Liverpool, Manchester, The Lake District and the Fylde Coast. A 2 hour train journey will get you South to London and 2.5 hours on the train North will get you to Edinburgh. There are many lovely walks surrounding Goosnargh and Beacon Fell is approx 15min drive.

Getting Around

Preston has a range of high street stores. Manchester City is full of designer stores & high street stores, as is the Trafford Centre. Liverpool One is also great for shopping with many designer boutiques and a wide range of places to eat. The Harris Museum and Art Gallery in Preston is both a beautiful building and a magnificent resource for the city. A short drive will take you to the Lake District which is full of museums, galleries and cultural attractions
