General Overview
Vancouver, BC, Canada - centrally located in the Mount Pleasant area of Vancouver near Main Street with trendy restaurants, pubs, groceries and other amenities. The house is on a quiet tree-lined street with parks nearby and easy access to main roadways.
Local transit runs frequently, bus stop is 2.5 blocks to take you to downtown or connects with the train to airport.
In summer - when not enjoying the city, festivals and interesting neighbourhoods, it's less than 30 minutes to all types of hiking trails in the mountains and the seawall by the water. Beaches are a 15 minute drive and the downtown nightlife is 10 minutes away by car.
In winter - Vancouver city is 30 minutes to three local ski mountains (Cypress, Grouse & Seymour mountains) and 2 hours to Whistler for even more skiing or snowshoeing.
The Space
Bright Garden Level 2-bedroom suite with big windows. A lovely and bright layout, including a modern kitchen, modern furniture and décor, this space has everything you need for a fabulous visit to Vancouver.
The suite has been renovated, with new carpets, fresh paint, new furnishings and updated bathroom. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the kitchen appliances, cookware, dishes and tools to prepare your meal. It's super clean, tidy and fresh!
The living room area is set with a flat-screen TV along with a modern sofa, comfortable seating and full size south-facing window overlooking patio & back-yard.
The larger master bedroom offers a quiet private reprieve a new mattress, crisp linens, TV and looks north via a large bay window with blackout curtains.
The second bedroom has double sized bed, closet and east facing window. This room can be set up as a workspace or the futon bed folds out to a double bed.
The private covered patio with bistro table & chairs overlooks the well-maintained grassy backyard area.
Suite includes shared laundry, in-floor radiant heat, basic cable, Netflix, strong WIFI and unrestricted street parking in a quiet, friendly residential area of Vancouver.
Guest Access
One level, private entrance, completely self-contained with keyless entry lock (with code).
Notes
There's a fair bit of flexibility scheduling (sim and non-sim), so let's connect and see if an exchange is possible 😀
Exchangers will need to provide photo identification when swaps are confirmed (and I will provide mine to you).
No extra guests, parties or noise after 11:00 pm, and it's a pet-free home due to allergies (sorry).
-> A cleaning fee of $125 Cdn will apply for each exchange (paid to the housekeeper).
Due to previous guests insisting on doing the cleaning themselves, and the next guests often finding it less than perfect.
I've learned that cleaning standards vary widely from person to person, thus it is mandatory to pay the cleaning fee so everyone has a nice stay. Thanks for your understanding!. 😀

Neighbourhood
Located in the City of Vancouver (not the suburbs). It's a quiet, friendly and safe neighbourhood called Mount Pleasant ... and close to all things Vancouver!
Lots to do in the area - restaurants, shopping, parks, biking, but also easy access to get to Vancouver's favourite tourist destinations.
Science World is very close by as is Granville Island and downtown.
Getting to my home
From the YVR airport it's a 25 minute taxi ... or take the train from the airport to King Edward station, grab a bus for 4 minutes and then walk from the bus stop (2.5 blocks).
Driving is easy.... being near Main Street and 20th Avenue in Vancouver... google maps can show you the way!

Getting Around
Unrestricted parking on the street in front of the house.
No car? No worries! Vancouver is super bike-friendly and the house is 2 blocks shared biked station. (https://www.mobibikes.ca/) and lots of bikeways to get around.
Public transit buses are close by (2.5 blocks/4 minutes walking), they are frequent and can take you to most places with one or two transfers at most.

Judy is a wonderful host and her apartment is a great place to stay, a quiet street in one of the most vibrant neighbourhoods in Vancouver, close to all the fun offerings of Main and Fraser streets, and very easy to get to downtown by public transit. The apartment itself has everything you need--Judy has set it up so generously with snacks and staples to get you started, and it's very elegantly furnished and decorated. Judy herself is so friendly and helpful and very quick to respond to my questions, helping make our stay stress-free. Highly recommended! -
Wonderful PLU exchange! Comfortable home in a great location (beatuful central but quiet neibourhood) with a thoughtful host who did everything to make us feel at home. And beyond! Everything was just perfect, we could not have wished for more! -
Judy is a wonderful woman. She made us feel very welcome and she and Roy are always ready to help and assist their guests. Judy showed us around her house. This house is extremely clean, tastefully decorated and perfectly equipped. It is located near the city center in an extremely quiet area. We immediately felt very good there. We had a really wonderful stay at Judy's place and would highly recommend reaching out to her if you're looking for a great spot in Vancouver. It's perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood that's just a short walk from great restaurants, cafés (we liked Liberty Café), breweries, and bars on Main avenue. The bus to downtown runs frequently and it's really quite easy to get around. The apartment is exactly as advertised. Judy is a real pro at home exchanges so you won't have trouble finding anything - if you do she's an excellent communicator so she'll respond quickly. -
Excellent exchange. Judy’s nice little two bedrooms was a dream: immaculate, furnished tasfully,comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet, small streets lined with trees, but close to public transportation and to fashionable Main Street, with plenty of restaurants and trendy bars. Downtown is 10 minutes by car. -
The appartement in Vancouver is perfectly situated very close to downtown , perfect for bicycle rides and everything is close by walking distance (groceries, bar, restaurants, pharmacies, coffee,..). Ots clean with all the amenities you need and much more :) Very easy and free to park In the street. Quiet appartement and neighborhood. Super comfy and with everything convenient. -
Wonderful home exchange. She left a few food items so we did not have to rush out and buy food right away. Lots of little perks like simple snacks and treats. The place was very clean. It’s a few minutes to walk to several different buses that will take you anywhere you need to go in the city. There was a very comprehensive guide to the house and the city. David and Karen -

Judy's home was all we expected and more - modern, comfortable and equipped with all the comforts of home including extras like snacks and toiletries. It is located on a quiet, residential street, within walking distance of many trendy restaurants and shops. Judy lives upstairs so we were able to meet during our visit. She is a kind and friendly woman. We highly recommend an exchange with her in her beautiful home! -
What a fabulous experience this has been! Definitelly one of the most comfortable houses I have stayed. Judy's suite has it all. Anything you may or may not need. It is beautiful, clean, looks brand new and super cozy feeling. It is located in a wonderful neighborhood, at a very cool spot of Vancouver, about 20 minutes of a bike ride downtown. Judy is absolutely lovely. I can't strectch out enough how positive, kind, genuine, active and generous she is. Just a beautiful human to know. 100% recommended! -
We have just completed a wonderful stay at Judy’s. Judy has an immaculate place, beautifully decorated and a short walk to Main St. where you will find lots of restaurants and shops. We received a very warm welcome, so much attention to detail and we had everything we needed. Because of Covid we couldn’t interact as much as we would have normally but communication via text or phone was great and Judy was always on hand if we needed her. We highly recommend Judy’s. This was our first PLU exchange, we used our globe and could not have chosen better. -
What a wonderful hostess!!! Judy's home is beautiful, in an excellent location. Within walking distance to many great restaurants and a very easy drive (or bike ride) to many areas in Vancouver. Many "small touches" such as homemade muffins, a "Happy Birthday" sign for my partner and small snacks. This was our first exchange and set the bar very high fir future exchanges. When Ruth and I put out a call for a place to hide form the smoke covering BC's interior, Judy was quick to offer us her suite as a place to stay, and for that we will always be grateful. Little did we know how much we would enjoy our stay. Judy is very kind and generous and thoughtful, but she is also Fun! The suite was clean and bright and extremely well equipped and organized, and nicely outfitted. And kind soul that Judy is, she just had to spoil us with treats (those prawns were great!). I highly recommend any type of exchange with Judy, who is a shining example of how hospitable home exchanging can be, especially on PLU. The home is located in an amazingly quiet, pretty, safe and clean residential area with easy and quick access to all downtown Vancouver has to offer. I believe we will be friends for life, regardless of the frequency with which we connect. -
Judy’s house is located on a quiet tree lined street. She is however only a couple of blocks from one of the most vibrant areas in the city. Approximately 2 blocks away you will find unique shops and restaurants, a great area to browse. It is easy to access the other highlights the city has to offer. The home is very comfortable and has everything you would need for a successful exchange. Her home is spotless. And, she is a lovely well organized and friendly host.
