Neighbourhood
We live in a friendly, close-knit neighborhood with many families. If you're traveling with children, there will be playmates at the ready when you arrive.
Our home is located in wonderful, walkable West Asheville, just minutes away from great restaurants, pubs, coffee spots, shops, a grocery and tailgate market. By car, we're a five-minute drive into Asheville's city center and its fabulous dining, shopping, arts and culture, parks, and lively street scene.
Also close by is Biltmore, the world-famous home of George Vanderbilt. The estate features a 250-room French chateau built in the late 1800s, expansive gardens, a winery and inn, bike paths, a farmyard and animals, and special events year-round.
In the Asheville area, opportunities for outdoor recreation and adventure are endless, and in most cases just moments away. Activities include hiking, road and mountain biking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, river tubing, swimming, rock climbing, horseback riding and fly fishing.
Nearest airport
Asheville Regional Airport (https://flyavl.com/) is a 20-minute drive from our house. Served by American, Delta, United, Allegiant, JetBlue, & SunCountry.
If you want to fly into a larger airport, Charlotte Douglas International (https://www.cltairport.com/) is an easy 2-hour drive to Asheville.
Another option is Greenville-Spartanburg International (https://gspairport.com/), just an hour from Asheville.

People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
