We are at the end of the land...near the beaches, few shops, apart from 2 or 3 restaurants (including the famous Chez Hortense) and 1 bar. 100 m from the "44 Hectares" district

Getting Around

The center is 2 km 1/2: vehicle or bicycles (traditional mode of transport in Cap-Ferret) essential. No local transport, except for a few rare taxis. To reach the beaches 1/4 hour on foot whether on the ocean side or the Bassin d'Arcachon From airport or Bordeaux train station (69 km) or rental vehicle (1 hour) or regular bus. Some take the TGV to Arcachon, then shuttle boat to Cap-Ferret...
