General overview
Sip a Rioja or Verdejo as you watch the moon rise over the Alboran Sea and the ever-changing views of the Rock of Gibraltar from our 450 square-foot terrace. Our two-bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment is light, airy, and open, with a queen master bedroom and guest room with two beds. Estepona's marina area is just a 20-minute walk along the beach or a short drive, and a 10-minute drive takes you to one of Spain's most charming old towns, packed with restaurants and shops. Enjoy some tennis, cool off in the spacious community pool, take a dip in the sea, or go off exploring. Beautiful hiking trails and a number of the Costa del Sol's iconic whitewashed hillside villages are right in our backyard.
The space
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and a view of the sunrise. Our guest room has both queen and twin beds.
Our kitchen is well-equipped (we love to cook and have all the supplies). We also have a Weber gas grill on the wrap-around terrace and an outdoor dining table for warmer months.
Guest access
We are on two floors with the bedrooms and full bath downstairs and the living room/dining area/kitchen and terrace upstairs on the entry level. Our apartment is on the 6th floor with an elevator, and there is open parking in the gated lot outside.

Neighbourhood
You can find plenty to do without venturing out, but you will want to see what's nearby. Lovely Marbella and Puerto Banus are a half-hour away and the whitewashed village of Casares (named for Julius Caesar, who supposedly sought healing in its waters) is 25 minutes inland. A number of other whitewashed mountain villages are an hour away or less. Historic Ronda (featured by Hemingway) is also about an hour away, and Sevilla and Granada are an easy two-hour drive on major highways. In winter, there is great skiing in Spain's highest mountains, the Sierra Nevada, about 40 minutes north of Granada.
Getting to my home
We are in between the airports of Malaga (one hour away) and Gibraltar (45 minutes). We'd advise renting a car for easy access to services and attractions.

Michele and Larry
We are Michele and Larry, a fit, young-at-heart couple in our late 60s/early 70s who view ourselves as citizens of the world. We travel for both work and pleasure, relishing the opportunity to meet new people and experience different cultures. Skiing, hiking, kayaking, scuba diving, and cooking are just a few of our varied interests. We love our place in Spain and sharing our discoveries here and everywhere with our guests.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
