Rinka and Patrick are really nice and friendly. We did a simultaneous exchange and had a chance to meet each other before our exchange at their home began, Rinka was even waiting for us at the train station - so nice of her :)
She explained everything what was important and welcomed us with delicious dutch cheeses and surprise for our kids was waiting on the table :) We received many recommendations of what to visit or see in the nearby or further away. They live in a beautiful, quiet and family friendly area and their house is spacious and fully equipped with everything you could need. Our kids really liked playing with the toys, especially with princess costumes from the very first day of exchange :D
We even swapped our cars and bikes, so we tried to live like a local :) Although the weather was mostly rainy during that week, we have been lucky to visit Efteling amusement park during sunny day, it was the best, not only for kids, but even for us, the parents, we really enjoyed a day full of fun and we even had the tickets for better prices thanks to Rinka :) We made a day trip to Amsterdam as well and have tasted some typical dutch delicacies. We can highly recommend exchanging with Rinka and her family :)
A lovely location easily connected to the city centre (which can connect you further out) and in a quiet neighbourhood perfect for children! The house is comfortable and offered everything we needed for our stay. Rinka and her family were amazing hosts. They picked us up from the airport, left goodies for the kids, and ensured we had everything we needed. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Was great seeing you again!!🥰
We had the most wonderful summer 2023-exchange in ‘s’Hertogenbosch (den Bosch) in Rinka and Patric’s home. It was such a perfect base for our exploration of the Netherlands and Belgium. Den Bosch is a charming town with old houses, canals, lots of restaurants, shopping and not to mention a wonderful cathedral. We went on day-trips to Amsterdam, Haarlem and Utrecht as well as the beach at Bloemendaal. We rented a car for some days in order to do a Belgium-tour. Within two hours we arrived in Brügge/Bruges- absolutely adorable! Continued to the fields of Flanders to review the WW1/Great war-history. Stopped over in Tournay before spending the third day in Waterloo and seeing and learning about the battle of 18.of June 1815 that made Napoleon surrender.
Rinka left precise instructions for us, including places to swim and sun bath in a river a short drive/ride from the home. With the warm summer weather that was perfect! And felt like a gem to share a little beach with only a handful other locals! Loved the restaurant there too. We also went to see the small sand dunes near the home and the big sand dunes half an hour drive.
The home was in a quiet neighborhood, super-sweet neighbors, convenient and welcoming. Can definitely recommend for an exchange- in addition Rinka and Patrick were super nice and easygoing😊
Rinka's home was very nice and Rinka and Patrick were very helpful and hospitable in assisting us for a non-reciprocal stay at their home in Den Bosch. Bike riding is great in the Netherlands for most local commutes - everyone does it, however a vehicle would be handy for wider exploration (Amsterdam, the Hague, Rotterdam etc). Thanks again for your hospitality.
Rinka and Patrick's house is just like them: generous and welcoming.
We enjoyed our stay with them very much and took advantage of the bikes kindly made available to us. The children loved the many games and toys left by Alec and Ellis. The neighborhood is quiet and nice.
We had a wonderful time at Patrick and Rinkas home.
The house is well located, close to Rosmalen and Den Bosch and also easy to access by car and public transport. The surrounding area is nice for walks in the woods or making tours by bike. Patrick and Rinka provided us with different bikes and we enjoyed cycling around and getting to know the area.
The house has all facilties you may need and lots of games and books. We particularly enjoyed this very friendly and adventurous family and the excellent communication during the exchange. We recommend an exchange with them at any time, you would be lucky to have this opportunity.
Thank you for the wonderful time and sharing your home with us!
We were warmly welcomed by Rinka and Patrick. The house is spacious and comfortable. It is very easy to reach the house by train and then by bus. There are lots of games that our kids loved. The neighborhood is very nice and Rinka had left us a great list of sites to see/do with the children.
I recommend the house, but above all I recommend meeting this wonderful family.
Rinka and Patrick's house is very pleasant and well equipped. It is next to a wood, ideal for many walks or bike rides. It is close to all services.
Communication was great throughout the exchange, Rinka and Patrick are very easy to chat with. We are happy to have met them and to have shared good times with them. We hope to see them again soon.
Great conversation with a great family!
Rinka and her family are great guests, we did a simultaneous exchange and had a chance to meet each other before our exchange at their home began. They are super nice, friendly and communicative. They left our home spotless, also a surprise on the dining table was waiting for us :) I hope they have enjoyed their stay in Prague and as a host I can just highly recommend this family for your next exchange :)
Rinka and her children spent a few days in our apartment.
There was good communication with Rinka, we got to know each other, although we could only stay for about 10 minutes.
Their children made some nice drawings for my daughter.
They left our apartment clean.
Rinka and her family were fabulous guests! There was excellent communication and they left the house in the same condition we left it. It truly felt like we were sharing with friends.
Dialogue with Rinka was/is easy and straight forward.
She and her family left the cabin the way I wanted to find it 😊
It seems they had a nice time and I am glad we could give them a snowy New Year’s Eve. We loved the chocolates and the card they left for us as present.
I would recommend Rinka and her family for an exchange.
It was very nice to meet this family and exchange our homes. Rinka and Patrick are very respectful and accustomed to travelling. We were able to communicate regularly and appreciated the tourist recommendations left.
Communication with Rinka and Patrick was excellent and they took really good care of our home, watered the plants and left everything clean and inviting, even with some gifts at the end. Excellent guests. It was also nice to find some small surprises from the children. Thank you!
Rinka and Patrick took great care of our home. We found our house as we had left it with the added bonus of a meal to share!
Great conversation with a great family
Great apartment in a quiet area and still very easy to get into down-town prague. Apartment complex is very new (even smelled new) and the views are amazing! Especially enjoyed the stunning sunsets with the little lights of prague in the distance🥰.
Lot of toys and great playground in front of the house 👍👍.
Location is easy to reach with public transport (train). And little supermarket around the corner and Lidl just 10-15min walk.
We spent almost 2weeks here and still have a lot in our wishlist. Haha.
Thank you!!
Katrine and family are super easy going. Had great chats before the came over. And we met them and the girls before we left for prague.
Took good care of the place and left us gifts from there travel and so many different Czech food at there place.
Thank you❤️❤️
Bea’s family house it literally òn the beach🥰.
A well maintained sand beach, the kids went by themselves to build on their ‘fort’ and when in bed I could read on the beach.❤️❤️
The house does not overlook the beach as the living has little windows, which is plus with the warm weather.
Great area to go exploring also, with the beach in one side and the mountains on the other😍.
They also had a ‘special PLu book’ and I read stories by others we also exchanged with!
When in the area defo go here, and I hope hope hope to be back one day!!
Kaityn has a wonderful family, it was great seeing them all again after this fall after the summer swap in Canada :).
Very happy kids, and great fun talking to Mike and Kaitlyn!
Thank you for the little gifts and hope to see you again some day!!
Thank you Kaitlyn for the amazing time we had at your place!
The home was very tidy, with little gifts also for the kids waiting on our arrival:).
the kids had the best time with all the toys and their 'new bedrooms'. Kaitlyn also took the time to show us personally around in the area.
Thank you VERY much!! We will see you quite soon here to return the favour:)
Ingrid and family took very good care of our home during the summer. Even when they were unable to reach us, they turned out to be very flexible:).
thank you for taking good care of our home and leaving lots of nice food to try for us on retuning home. it was a great welcome back!
see you in Norway!!
This cabin is a perfect get away!! Especially the view is incredible! Sitting on the couch you overlook the valley.
We were lucky to be there in winter, just a little walk from the pistes and with the forest just 150m away. We were by public transport, the supermarket is not too far but is all the way uphill back;-), there is a car rental on walking distance and the bus is oké too.
The area is another major plus. The fjords are just half an hour away and incredible! As are many (frozen) waterfalls. The ‘artic’ area of Europe is 30-60min by train inland, with totally different and incredible views🤩.
The home has a stove and comfy floor heating. and Gaëlle left some toys for the kids (great idea!).
Gaëlle and family were very helpful during our stay. Thank you!!! Wish we could have stayed there forever.
Gary and Jan are very kind people. Left the home tidy (with ironed sheets:). We liked meeting you on video-call and hope you had a great remainder of your trip!
Charlotte and Thibault home is spacious, modern and as great facilities. Various terrasses, hammocks, and the best a specious pool! It has a real mediterranian feel, I loved opening the heavy wooden window panels in the morning.
Their living is greatly situated between the hills on one side and the sea on the other.
In Toulon we enjoy the mountains, the city and the coastline. they lent their bikes, which was a great way to explore the are as it even has bikepaths (and a bike-lane map in the house;-))
The kids were in love with their new bedrooms, with many toys, and the second floor which is a complete toy heaven! With more castles then you'll find anywhere:). There is a wide variety of bord games (999 and similar). We all have our new favorites now!
Charlotte & Thibault and their kids are very nice people. Very modest, and their kids very well behaved happy little ones:).
We were very welcomed into their home with little local snacks and drinks, always a good start! They in turn took very good care of our home and the dolls/toys living in there;-). They left the keys and gifts for a the next PLU couple who came after them on a hospitality.
Thank you!! It was great meeting you and hope to see you on some point of this future!
Madelon and Marcus home is really great and meets all ‘typical’ Norwegian expectations! Wooden home, fireplace, snow shuffling, beautiful location just on the hill overlooking Kongsbergen, and wide windows to overlook the (snowy) garden.😍
We were very much welcomed in their home.
The kids enjoyed all the different toys, much more than we expected! And we could use their ski’s and car which was very nice in this area! House is full of books:).
The home is located in a beautiful area. You can walk right to the river and follow it to either to Kongsbergen itself (really nice walk!) or to a greener area. Facilities are close by; super markert, bus stop and skating ring on waking distance. Home can be well reached by bus from kongsbergen center/train station (tickets easily bought via the app).
We felt very lucky to have this as ‘our home’ for 1,5 week 🥰!
Madelon and Marcus are very friendly people! They left small gifts for the kids and took very good care of our home. Easy communication. Very welcome back home 💐 😊. We hope to see you again!
Thank you Rinka and Patrick. It was really nice to have you as our guests and we really enjoyed your place as well. Hope to see you back!
Hi Elodie & Vincent,
It was greatt heaving you over! We have definitely found our home cleaner than we left it + a cosy plant which suits the room very well + the kids gifts, thank you!
The also invited us for a very extended lunch before the exchange which was a very memorable one:)
If you would like to meet great and have easy going people in your home, i will definitely advise you to host these 4!
Hi Nicholas e& Laure, the exchange in your house was a perfect experience! Already after a few days it felt like our new home, which we didn't want to leave;).
you were both really helpfull, let us use all we wanted and even left us some space in your closets (great idea!).
the home is on the border city centre / suburb, in town in just 10min and the garden is super quiet. for us a perfect location.
Thank you again!
Hi Nicholas en Laure,
It was great heaving you over! I really liked your idea of meeting up before and after the exchange. and the contact we had in between to share fun stories and local tips.
as a bonus, we might have found the house cleaner than we left it;) + thank the kids for the rainbow drawings!
If you want to meet a great family, i will definitely advise you to host these 4!
