Explore Portland and beautiful surrounding Oregon!
The space
Built in 2010, my house has two stories and a one-car garage. The small backyard has flowers, vegetables, trees, a hot tub, and a BBQ. The house is narrow, but with many windows for light and air. The new light-grey paint gives it an open feel. The master bedroom has a king size bed and its bathroom has a large tub and separate shower. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. There are laundry facilities. The kitchen has a gas stove, a new dishwasher, and all the standard appliances. The house has solar panels and a heat pump for electric heating and cooling with a smart thermostat. It also has a gas fireplace for cozy winter nights.
I have bicycles that guests can borrow. Driveway parking for cars because there are too many bikes in the garage!

Neighbourhood
The house is on a quiet street in the inner northeast section of Portland, in a neighborhood of middle-class single-family homes built between the early 1900s and today. There is a large park with a playground, tennis courts, a dog park, basketball courts, and ball field just two blocks away. There are natural foods grocery stores about a half mile away. I am within walking distance of three very-Portland shopping districts, on Williams, Mississippi, and Alberta with many excellent bars and restaurants.
Getting around
It is a very walkable and bike-able neighborhood. I am about two miles from downtown Portland. I am blocks from four major bus lines and about a mile from the light rail. I have bikes to share with guests.
Portland is about an hour by car from the mountains, the coast and the amazing Columbia Gorge.
