Neighbourhood
This is a superb central location for exploring Scotland. There are 3 stations with park and ride within 4 miles and you can be in central Glasgow in 11 minutes, Edinburgh in 35 minutes, or Stirling in 18minutes.
By car we are approximately one hour or less to Loch Lomond, Edinburgh, or Perth, and 20 minutes to Glasgow or Stirling. St Andrews is 1 and a half hours drive away if you're a golfer, also a great place to visit. , Cumbernauld itself has large supermarkets, shops, gyms, swimming pool etc
Nearest airport
Both Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports with their low-cost airlines are approximately 35 minutes by car.
Getting Around
A car is necessary here and we are happy to exchange cars. There are three rail stations within 4 miles all with park and ride facilities which can take you to any of the other stations in Scotland. You can go to Glasgow centre in 11 minutes or the centre of Edinburgh in 35.
There is also a good bus service in Cumbernauld linking with all the main areas, airports and islands
