The space

3 bedrooms - 2 double beds, 1 single (with mid height cabin bed), family bathroom and downstairs cloakroom with shower. Large kitchen diner with modern kitchen, large dining table for 6-8 people. Cosy living room with library wall and log burner. Small office next to the kitchen. Front south facing courtyard garden with outside seating. Side garden with fruit and vegetable patches, small rear garden and courtyard with trampoline and shed. You can use the front as a parking space but we mostly park on the road outside.

Two floors with stairs.

Notes

We ask that people who stay in our home feed our cats daily and water our plants when needed. We have family and neighbours nearby who could potentially look after them should you wish to do some short stays elsewhere (term time only).

Neighbourhood

The house is right next to a park with a good children’s playground, trees, stream, fishing lake and boating lake. The town has good amenities including a museum, indoor skateboarding and climbing centre, arts theatre, small old fashioned cinema, lots of public artworks, sandy and pebble beaches, independent restaurants and cafes and lots of artists live and work here. The house is 5 minutes from two sports centres, one with a small dry ski slope and swimming pool. The area is great for cycling and walking.

Getting to my home

5 mins walk to Folkestone Central train station (from London 45mins or Ebbsfleet international for Eurostar). 10 mins from Eurotunnel, 20mins from Dover ferry port.

Gatwick 1hr 10 / London City 1hr20 via taxi

Getting around

20 minutes walk to the beach, 20-25 minutes walk to he Kent Downs. 5 minutes walk to nearest supermarket and 15 minutes walk to town centre shops. 5 minutes walk to the train station with trains to London or along the coast towards Margate. Easy reach of Canterbury (30 mins by car or bus). Perfectly located for exploring Kent!
