We live in Barcelona in the upper side of Barcelona. We live in a small town that has lots of stores, Rambla with nice restaurants and you find all type of stores at your fingertips. Sagrada Familia is just 10 min away by metro or 15 min in bike. The city center is just 10 min away by metro or 30 min by bus. We prefer to to bike to the city center which is 15’ away.
The space
Our flat is located in the 8th floor and has a lovely balcony facing the sea side of Barcelona which catches morning sun. We will offer 2 bedrooms (a double room with Queen size bed and single room for one person). We also have 500 count sheets. This is our primary residence and we try to keep it with everything needed to live comfortably. We also have available parking space (which is a must here as Parking is difficult in the city)
Guest access
We are on the 8th floor, the building has two elevators. We will have to mail you the key to enter the building or agree on meet up.

Neighbourhood
If you want to feel what it is really like to live in Barcelona, this is the best location. Sant Andreu is one of Barcelona’s nine main districts. It sits in the northwest of the city and is rarely visited by many tourists, even though it’s just a 15-minute metro journey from the center. The small, village-like area of Sant Andreu de Palomar lies at the heart of the area and makes for an interesting alternative to some of the more famous Barcelona neighborhoods. The area has a very local and traditional feel, and actually used to be a separate village, which annexed Barcelona in 1897. You can find the real Catalan cuisine and language here.
Getting to my home
There are several ways to get from Barcelona Airport (BCN) to Sant Andreu de Palomar by train, bus, taxi, car, shuttle or towncar. The nearest metro stop is a block away (Fabra i Puig, L1)
1. The journey time between Barcelona Airport (BCN) and Sant Andreu de Palomar is around 35 min and covers a distance of around 23 km. The fastest journey normally takes 35 min. We need to agree on keys exchange as I need to provide the remote control to enter the parking area.
2. Operated by Renfe Cercanias, the Barcelona Airport (BCN) to Sant Andreu de Palomar service departs from Aeroport and arrives in Sant Andreu de Palomar. Typically 286 services run weekly, although weekend and holiday schedules can vary so check in advance. This is a quick and easy way to get home. (Fabra i Puig, L1)

Getting around
My personal recommendation is to use metro or bus to get around Barcelona. Everything is well connected and times are quick between routes. Parking is difficult (as is most cities). That is the reason why we don't use a car to get around, only when we want to go outside Barcelona, again, this is our preference as for us is easier to hop on-off the metro or bus rather than finding a parking space (specially in summer with all tourist, in winter is mostly fine to find parking). Costa Brava and Costa Dorada: There are lovely beaches which you can get by train, and is lovely ride on the coast, I will provide a "tour guide" as needed. We love to spend summer afternoons skating in Sitges or just soaking up the sun at the beach. Bike rentals are also a nice option or bring your own bike.

We are an experienced Home Exchange family and completed already 8 exchanges. We prefer this way of traveling because you really get to see how locals live, we’ve been in Prague, Bratislava, Paris, Colorado and Spain. Marco is over 40 and I am following right behind him. We have two daughters who are 14 and 4 and we like to take care of our home and would do the same in others.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
Rambla de Fabra i Puig, our place would be on the right here
This is a cooking class I´ve attended recently in La Boqueria, learned to do paella the catalan way
We have a lovely small balcony which we gave Barcelona´s beach vibe, my favorite spot in our flat, it is facing the ocean side, so you get the morning sun. There is no ocean view but we get to see big boats in the horizon
Sunrise view from the main room
This is our small living room with TV and A/C. Outside you can have breakfast in the balcony
Long hallway, here is where we keep our electric scooters
We have a large kitchen, with lots of storage space and oven, microwave and a espresso machine
