General overview
Whether on vacation or visiting Auckland for work, this home provides an oasis of peace, 300m from one of the city's best beaches, Takapuna Beach. With 3 spacious bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 living spaces and a work area, a stylish, modern kitchen and off street parking, you can laze the days away on one of the two decks, wander down to the beach for a swim or visit one of the nearby cafes. Central Takapuna is 1 km away and offers restaurants and shops, while the CBD is a 10 min drive.
The space
Our home is a mid-century house with 100 year old pohutukawa trees providing privacy and a green outlook. On one floor, the living room opens onto the front deck with a view of the ocean. Please note that this deck has open railing and any children will need to be carefully supervised.
The living room opens also into the dining area with a separate living space and a modern, open plan kitchen and scullery with a Smeg oven (gas hobs, electric oven) and Fisher & Paykel dishdrawers. The kitchen is fully stocked with cutlery, crockery, bowls etc as well as a microwave, toaster, toasted sandwich maker etc. The scullery includes a washing machine, iron and ironing board. For drying your clothes, you can use the clothes line or there is a laundromat 150 m up the road with dryers.
The bedrooms are all large and with big windows creating light and airy spaces.
Our home offers a separate shower room, separate toilet, bathroom with bath and an ensuite with a shower.
It is on a slope, so there are 10 steps to the front door and also three steps from the entrance to the rest of the house, so please be aware of this if you have mobility issues or lots of luggage. There is a path around the side of the house to the back entrance (3 steps).

Neighbourhood
Hauraki/Takapuna is a neighbourhood that has it all! From one of Auckland's best beaches, with 1.2km of golden sand and views of Rangitoto, to a central, vibrant hub featuring numerous cafes and restaurants, a shopping centre and high street shops, a boutique cinema and public library, this area has everything you need, yet is only a 10 minute drive from the CBD. If you do not have a car, a 2min walk takes you to the bus stop from which you can catch a bus into the city, or alternatively, a bus down to Devonport where you can catch a ferry to the city or to Waiheke, Auckland's island wine destination.
Our home is located 300 m from the beach and 150 m from the local shops at Hauraki Corner - featuring the essentials including a supermarket, butcher, fresh fruit & vege shop, bakery, newsagent and pharamacy. Plus a cafe and restaurant.

You can get to our home by:
1. Flying into Auckland Airport and catching an uber or taxi to it. You could also investigate catching a shuttle or a train to the city and then a bus from there.

Getting around
You can walk to the local shops which are 150 m away - where you can find a supermarket, butcher, fresh fruit/vege shop, pharmacy, bakery, cafe and restaurant. Also here is the bus stop to take you into Takapuna central of Auckland city, or in the other direction to Devonport and the ferry.
Walking 300 m down the road takes you to Takapuna Beach, and a 1.2km stroll along the beach reaches Takapuna Central with shops, mall, cinema, restaurants and cafes.
