Getting Around

The most convenient way to get around is by car. Trailways offers a bus service from New York Port Authority to Rosendale. There is Uber and Lyft in the area. Amtrak offers a train service from New York Penn Station to Rhinecliff. It's a 35 minute drive to the house.

**PLEASE NOTE BEFORE SENDING A REQUEST:** Because we have an 11-year-old daughter, we are only able to travel during **New York school holidays and breaks**. Unfortunately, we do not accept exchanges during the New York school year. We also typically do not accept Plutos. With that out of the way… welcome! 😊 We’re Alastair and Susan—a British/Canadian couple who have called the United States home for more than half of our lives. Alastair is a Politics professor, and Susan is a Human Resources executive who has taken on a second career as a travel advisor. We are passionate travelers who love exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and discovering the kinds of destinations and experiences that make travel so rewarding. We love the idea behind People Like Us and the opportunity to experience a destination as more than just tourists.
