General Overview

California beach cottage only steps to the beach, surf, bike path, volleyball, running, pier and restaurants. Completely remodeled in 2016. The cottage is above the courtyard behind our home, completely private and very quiet. Second story, with open living room/full and fully stocked kitchen, bedroom, office/guest room, bathroom, washer dryer, 3 TVs with cable, great WiFi. Access to the firepit, table and BBQ in the courtyard. Boogie boards, beach chairs and beach towels are provided and there is an outdoor shower for cleaning up after a day at the beach. We have a house cleaning service every week, and will have the house cleaned during the exchange if you here longer than a week, and when you leave. Our home would be comfortable for a couple but we would consider one (no more than one) kid or additional guest. We do a lot of hospitality and non-simultaneous exchanging, so it's likely we would be home while you are here, so available to give some local tips. The cottage is NOT available for rent.

Neighbourhood

Hermosa Beach is a small, friendly California beach community and the locale for many movies and TV shows, including "Baywatch" and "Beverly Hills 90210". It is conveniently located just 4 miles south of LAX and close to all Southern California attractions. . . Disneyland, Universal Studios, Getty Museum, Beverly Hills, Malibu. During the summer there are usually volleyball tournaments, concerts and other events almost every weekend, all walking distance from the house. The neighborhood is quiet, but is only a three minute walk to the Pier and the shops, restaurants and night life on Pier Avenue. Also nearby (15 minute walk or a short bike ride or drive) are many more restaurants and shops in the neighboring beach communities of Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach. We have a very friendly neighborhood and we make every effort to get you to meet our friends and neighbors, who are available to help with questions and get you acquainted with the area. If you're coming to the Los Angeles area, this is where you want to be! Beach, bike path, pier, restaurants and shopping
