General Overview

Wakefield is a quaint village in the town of South Kingstown, in the region called South County. The South County, Rhode Island is inviting with its landscape and sensational coastline which provides visitors with real life peacefulness and relaxation. The house is within a 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The bike path to Narragansett Beaches and University of Rhode Island is a quick 2 minute jaunt on your bike. It's been told to us that our neighborhood looks like a scene from a Norman Rockwell painting. Beautiful and Historic Newport, Rhode Island is only about 30 minutes away.

The Space

Our home is a 100 year old traditional American Four Square. the house has 3 bedrooms and 21/2 bathrooms. We have a nice sized kitchen and a billiards room in the basement. We have a large 3 season porch and a beautiful wooded backyard with deck and firepit.

Neighbourhood

There are shops and restaurants within walking distance. There are 3 grocery stores, pharmacies and main shopping right in town. (A long walk or a few minutes by car.) Town and State beaches are at most a 15 minute car ride. Kayaking or boating is down the street in the Great Salt Pond. The Block Island Ferry is about a 15 minute car ride. Newport is about a 30 minute car ride.

Getting Around

Public transportation exists in the town, although not very convenient. A car or Uber will be needed to get anywhere outside of town.
