Neighbourhood

We are on a quiet, dead end road. The 52 homes on this point are the only ones on Lake Norfork (1K miles of shoreline) where private boat docks are allowed on this manmade lake. The water sports, including swimming, scuba diving, water skiing/knee boards, jet ski and fishing year round, is superb. Golf, caverns to explore, craft & antique shops, canoe/or inner tube float trips are available on nearby rivers, fish hatchery tours, zip lining, museums & quilt shops are just a few of the activities available for your enjoyment. There is seasonal hunting for deer, turkey & duck in the area. There are several State Parks and Corp of Engineer places to hike and bike within 15-45 minutes of the house. Branson, MO, is a 2-hr drive, which offers live music & comedy shows, golf, Silver Dollar City amusement park, Sheppard of the Hills Theatre, Paddlewheel Showboat Dinner Cruises and more.

Getting around

Groceries, pharmacy, gas stations, hardware, restaurants, golf, fishing supplies/bait, shopping, Regional Medical Center, miniature golf, theater, bowling, are all within 3-5 miles. The house is approx. 2 miles off of the main highway on a dead end paved road in an upscale neighborhood.

Elaine and Lowell warm welcomed us with surprise gifts and my mom who’s visiting us from overseas fell in love with the lake house. Home is spotless and very comfortable. We did many PLU exchanges, Elaine’s lake house is absolutely one of our favorites. Arkansas is such a hidden gem, so many places to visit!! Elaine and Lowell! • Wonderful experience! I'm so grateful for the beautiful home Elaine shared with me and my daughter. We had a blast hiking, exploring the area, horseback riding, listening to live music, and more! She even left a bag of presents for my daughter and had a basket of s'mores to use at the firepit. So grateful!
  • Erin and her daughter were our first home exchange guests. Erin and I had great communication before and after the exchange. She left our home immaculate and all the toys were put neatly away. (Very good parenting, Erin!) We look forward to exchanging into Erin’s home soon. St. Louis is a great place to explore and an easy 4-hour drive. Erin and her family will be welcome to return anytime and will be a wonderful guest for future exchanges.
