We had the most wonderful stay at Mia and Joakim’s apartment. It is a beautiful light space with two lovely balconies and great transport links. It was easy to explore trendy Södermalm as well as the rest of Stockholm, including by using the boat. The children were very generous to share their toys with our kids and they particularly loved the gymnastic rings. Mia left great tips on the area and some lovely treats and Joakim’s sisters were very kind waiting for us to arrive from a late evening flight. While this was a globe exchange, we would love to host Mia and family any time in Edinburgh.

It was a pleasure to spend a few days at Mia and Joachim's house. The apartment is very comfortable, very tastefully furnished and very well equipped. The centre of Stockholm is easily accessible by bus or on foot for the more courageous. Shops and restaurants nearby. The exchanges went very well with Mia, she always responded quickly to messages. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet her, another time perhaps...

Mia's family's apartment is very well located, in a new residential area, very well connected by buses. The apartment was super clean, very cozy and warm, we had a great stay there! We were welcomed by Mia's brother-in-law, it was very nice, and Mia had left us lots of sweets for our stay! The exchange with Mia before and throughout the stay was fluid and very pleasant! Thank you to your family for welcoming us in this way to your home, we will not forget this stay which was magical!

We had a wonderful week at Mia’s home! What a beautiful apartment - so comfortable - the excellent kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals, the balcony and garden were lovely and there was plenty of space for the three of us. Mia shared lots of ideas for places to go and had great suggestions for what my kids would enjoy. We loved the location of the apartment - close to a beautiful park, walking paths, and a few quick bus stops to the center of the city. We had a lovely stay in Mia's apartment this summer. Great apartment and great surroundings, our kids loved seeing the boats passing by from the balcony. Very quiet surroundings with minimal traffic outside and walking distance to the metro as well as a bus stop just outside. Great communication from Mia who also offered great help and lots of suggestions for excursions. We are very happy we swapped with Mia and her family!

Mia´s apartment in Stockholm is perfect to explore this beautiful city! From the balcony you have a view towards one of the many canals in Stockholm. We watched sailing boats crossing every day. The area Soedermalm is a very nice area, it is one of the islands which form Stockholm. From Soedermalm you can walk to most places of interest, i.e. the beautiful old part of the city, Gamla Stan. Or you can take a ferry, just a hundred metres away from the apartment. The bus stop is also in the same street, very convenient. We parked our car in a parking space a little further away and only needed it for day trips further away from Stockholm (Uppsala is very nice!). The apartment is furnished in a stylish Scandinavian way, very nice. Mia, Joachim and their children left a spotlessly clean apartment for us and communicated with us easily. Thank you for three wonderful weeks in Stickholm, Mia and Joachim!

We loved everything at Mia's home. The house was carefully prepared for our arrival, it was warm and with the Christmas lights on. The fridge was full of home made Christmas specialities. The view on the canal and all the Christmas lights all around made us feel like in a fairy tale. Everything was perfect, we enjoyed very much our stay. Stockholm is wonderful and we were happy to return to this beautiful home after a day out visiting. We are grateful for this beautiful exchange and hope to return one day. In a happy accident, our accommodations fell through last minute, and I turned to People Like Us to try to find somewhere to stay. Mia and Joacim saved the day and offered us their apartment in Stockholm. We loved this place so much… It was just perfect for us, so beautiful, so wonderful lly decorated and cozy, a wonderful location… We wish we had stayed here the whole time instead of going out to the Airbnb we had rented for the rest of the week. Thank you so much for offering your home to us!

Mia's and Joakims home is in a wonderful location in Stockholm with everything at a walking distance but also with good public transportation. Stockholm, and the neighborhood, has lots to offer with great musea, all different types of nice shops, restaurants, including the best coffee and bakery places, nice vintage shops and bookstores. We also really enjoyed long walks along the water and through the different parts of Stockholm. The fotografiska museum was also one of the highlights of our visit with some amazing artists. The appartment has a nice view from the balcony overlooking the water and is very nice and comfortable with everthing you need. Upon arrival they had prepared some freshly baked bread and grinded fresh coffee for us. A very warm welcome! We would highly recommend their place and this family for a stay. They took very good care of our home and we would be happy to exchange with them again in the future.
