Neighbourhood
We have 5 acres of wide open prairie in the stunning Foothills of southern Alberta. This is the heart of cowboy country. Ranches, farms, cows, horses, mountain views and rolling foothills all dot the landscape around where we live. A short bike ride or walk will take you to the lovely Saskatoon Farm where they serve hearty farm breakfasts and lunches, as well as ice cream and a well stocked farmers market. Our house is remote and quiet, but all amenities are available within a short driving distance (5 - 15 mins.)
Getting around
A car is a necessity as local transit is not available in rural areas. We have a car to exchange.
We are 15 minutes (by car) from Calgary and 7 minutes (by car) from the town of Okotoks. Sunsets from the deck are breathtaking. All amenities you can think of are available in both locations including eateries, groceries, boutique and large scale city shopping and more. We are a 30 minute drive from downtown Calgary, and a 1.5 - 2 hour drive from the famous Rocky Mountains including Kananaskis, Banff and Canmore.
