Neighbourhood
Nice is built along the Mediterranean Sea and surrounded by beautiful hills where most homes are located. Our house sits on one of these hills. Our neighborhood feels like a small village overlooking the sea, nestled among vineyards that produce a distinctive local wine with a protected designation of origin.
The area is residential and very family-friendly. Children here are used to meeting up with neighbors to ride bikes along the quiet lanes between the houses. At the same time, you’ll find local shops (bakery, pharmacy, post office) just a 5-minute drive from the house.
The heart of Nice is only a 15-minute drive away. Here, the sun shines around 300 days a year, and café terraces are enjoyable even in winter. You can stroll along the famous Promenade des Anglais, swim at its many beaches, explore the charming Old Town, and taste local specialties such as pissaladière, socca, ratatouille, or pan bagnat. Every morning, the Cours Saleya hosts a vibrant flower market along with fresh fruits and vegetables. Depending on the season, you can also visit the many museums, explore the Roman ruins in Cimiez, or enjoy major events like the Carnival, the Flower Parade, or the Nice Jazz Festival.
Within less than an hour by car, you can visit the beautiful and well-known towns of Cannes, Antibes, and Menton, or even spend a day in Italy in places like San Remo or Ventimiglia.
If you are looking for nature and wide open spaces, the Mercantour National Park is about an hour away and offers stunning hikes in a preserved natural environment, suitable for all levels. Depending on the season (and a bit of luck), you may spot marmots, ibex, or chamois—sometimes just a few meters away. For those who enjoy sports and adventure, the nearest ski resorts (Auron, Isola 2000, Valberg) are about 1.5 hours away. You can also enjoy activities such as via ferrata, canyoning, and river trekking.
Of course, we would be delighted to share all our favorite spots, recommendations, and favorite hikes to help you make the most of your stay.
Nearest airport
The airport is a 25-minute drive away.
Getting Around
Nice is easily accessible by plane (Nice Airport) or by train (Nice train station). Our home is served by a small local bus that runs every 15 minutes and connects to the tramway in the city center.
However, having a car is very helpful for getting around. We can provide a small 4-seater car for your use, although it is best suited for short trips (Renaud Zoé).
A new exchange at the top! A big thank you to Caroline, Guillaume and their children for lending us their pretty house perched on the heights of Nice. The children really enjoyed the large swimming pool, which is very nice when it's 30°C outside!
We loved our stay, everything was perfect. We felt at home. The house is clean, tidy, spacious. A little corner of paradise ideal for visiting the Côte d'Azur.
What can I say about Caroline and Guillaume's home, it was absolutely perfect!
A beautiful home in a great location. We loved every minute there. The house was spotlessly clean and tidy with a lovely welcome gift from Caroline.
The pool of course was a huge attraction, my kids spent hours in it every day. We loved picking fresh food from their garden, eating all our meals outdoors and playing with some of their lovely toys.
We did lots of day trips to the beach, city tour of Nice, Monaco, Antibes and Italy from their house, it's a great location for exploring the region. I think anyone who is lucky enough to exchange with Caroline and Guillaume will really enjoy their home😊. We loved it so much, we would go there every year!
We have just completed a wonderful exchange with Caroline and Guillaume in the house in Nice. The house was clean and tidy upon arrival, and the pictures don't completely capture the beauty and atmosphere of this wonderful place, especially not the pool area, which was amazing.
The communication was incredible, and they gave us many tips for adventure. There were sweet and helpful during our stay.
The home of Caroline & Guillaume is the perfect spot in Provence on the northern hills of Nice. The house is very comfortable and clean. We appreciated coming back ”home” after a day at a busy beach or town. Such a relaxing place with the beautiful garden and pool. The house and kitchen are well equipped with everything that you could possibly ask for. We had a fantastic week here and would love to come back.
Caroline and her family were very respectful hosts, our house was perfect when we returned. We thank them for their kindness, their generosity and their benevolence.
Communication was very easy, fluid and pleasant. A meeting as we like them in house exchanges.
I had excellent communication with Caroline in advance of the exchange, and received a very thorough house guide a week before we left with lots of details about the house and also great information on day trips etc.
Our two families met at the airport to exchange keys for cars and house. We felt very welcome in their home and had lots of communication throughout the week, we were in touch via text every day. It was so nice to see that Caroline's family were enjoying our home too!
They looked after our home so well, it was super clean and tidy whe we arrived back. I would not hesitate to exchange with Caroline and her family again.
The family treated our house as their own. It was left very tidy and clean, and the plants were very well taken care of.
We would gladly lend out our house to them in the future.
Caroline, Guillaume and the kids are super friendly and helpful and the communication throughout the exchange (before/during/after) was very easy. We had a video call before We came to their place. We meant to do a non-sim exchange but in the end they ended up staying in my sister’s house as we were home (we said we could move out but in the end they exchanges with my sister) - however this gave us the chance to meet and have dinner together. They left my sister’s home in great condition and I know they would Welcome back the family any time. We are happy to say that Caroline and Guillaume are now our friends and we are Looking forward to meeting again soon.
Feedback for Vicki·Simultaneous exchange·10 nights
We had a wonderful stay at Vicki and Kasper's house. The house is very comfortable and clean, perfectly located next to the sea. The house is perfectly equipped with games for children (toys, trampoline, beach games) but also for adults (comfortable corner outside, barbecue, everything you need to cook). We loved our stay! Vicki and Kasper are the perfect hosts, who gave us all advices we needed and it is thanks to them that we were able to discover and fully appreciate their wonderful area.

Vicki and Kasper took perfect care of our home. They perfectly watered our vegetable garden, took care of the swimming pool. We are more than happy to have made this exchange with them and we fully recommend them.
We had an arrangement with Malin to stay in her little sister's house, which is the perfectly equipped house for 3 small children. Malin and Martin are the perfect hosts : adorable, very welcoming, very helpful whenever we had the slightest need. They welcomed us into the house as soon as we arrived, showed us around their neighborhood, lent us bikes, equipment for fishing crabs : our stay was fantastic thanks to them. Sweden is the perfect country to visit in summer. We had lots of sunshine but not too hot (just perfect), the coast is beautiful, the seaside scenery is incredible and there is so much to do : swim, visit Gothenburg, fish, cycling everywhere. Malin and Martin's house, in which they also received us for dinner, is amazing. Don't hesitate, go ahead!
