General overview
Our home is a 5-storey townhouse in the vibrant area of St Gilles, one of the best neighborhoods in Brussels! Our area is full of cafés, restaurants, independent shops and is really well connected for downtown. It’s a great base for Brussels and Belgium, and with Brussels being only an hour and 20 from Paris and a couple of hours from Amsterdam, a great base for some exploring beyond Belgium too.
The space
Our living area is open and really lovely - the kitchen, dining area and living room flow into each other. The house is big- there are 6 bedrooms - 5 of which have double beds - and the children’s room has a single bed and a single mattress that can be pulled out if needed. The 4 bathrooms/shower rooms (2 en-suite) mean there is a lot of privacy and facilities for a big family. This would be perfect for one big family or two average families.
Guest access
There are 4 actual floors and steeper steps up to the attic room, so five floors and lots of stairs - this is not accessible for wheelchairs unfortunately.

Neighbourhood
Our neighbourhood has lots of bars, cafés, independent shops, parks/public spaces within 10-20 minutes’ walking distance, and is super well connected to the rest of the city, and just 3 tram stops from the main train station Gare Du Midi.
Getting to my home
If arriving at the airport, you can either take a taxi for around €50-60 (make sure to check which credit cards can be used) or you can get the train from the airport to Gare Du Midi, which is then either a €10 short taxi ride from our home or 3 stops on the Tram to Horta followed by an 8 minute walk to our house.
Nearest airport
Brussels Zaventem airport. Distance depends on traffic. 20mins minimum, can be an hour in rush hour. 40 mins door to door using tram and train.
Getting around
Our neighbourhood has great shops and cafés and is also just 20mins from downtown. St Gilles is also home to the Victor Horta Museum and some beautiful classic Art Deco and art nouveau houses including by Horta.
