Neighbourhood
We live 2km from our nearest village where you will find everything you need - petrol station with shop and deli, medical centre, chemist, pubs, post office,hairdressers, village green, church. There are some lovely walks from our doorstep including Freshford Loop or within a short driving distance (Gatabawn Loop, Jenkinstown Woods, Ballyforan Woods, Dunmore Woods, Castelcomer Discovery Park). There are some gorgeous parks perfect for picnics - Millenium Park in Freshford 2km down the road, or Gatabawn Millenium Park 4km up the road! We are also located on North Kilkenny Cycel Route 1.
We are 12km to the medieval city of Kilkenny, a fantastic place to spend a couple of days with lots of museums, beautiful buildings, boutique shops, cafes and restaurants. We are also centrally located for exploring Waterford (65km), Wexford (90km), Dublin (120km), Cork (140km).
Getting around
There is no public transport so your own transport is definitely necessary. We are willing to consider car swap.
