Neighbourhood
I am on the edge of the oldest city center. The central station and various tourist attractions are within walking distance. My place is ideal for exploring the city, working in the city, visiting museums or just enjoying the neighbourhood, such as having a beer in the café downstairs or swimming a 4-minute walk away in (late) summer. All year round you can have a drink (in summer also food) right in front of the house on the terrace, in summer it is very sunny. The atmosphere in front of my house is very nice, especially in the summer.
There is a bakery, several restaurants and bars on the square. Supermarkets are less than 10 minutes walking distance or 3 minutes by bike.
Nearest airport
Schiphol is only around 35-50 minutes away by public transport (use your credit card or bank card to travel, no tickets needed). A taxi will save you around 15 minutes only and is expensive, but with much luggage maybe worth it.
Getting Around
2 bus stops or 15-20 minutes walk from Central Station. A nearby bus stop, a car2go or a bicycle from a bicycle rental company will take you everywhere.
