Situated at the center of Mompiche's most tourist-friendly neighborhood and steps from the beach, this home offers the perfect location for your stay in paradise. Sip on a tropical cocktail at the infamous "Casi Guapo's" beachfront bar just down the footpath out front, keep an ear out for live acoustic music across the street at Bam-bu, or just kick back on whichever balcony suits your mood: secluded morning coffee & birdwatching from the loveseat out back or evening wine & people-watching from the 2-person hammock in front.

Getting around
Everything in Mompiche can be easily accessed by foot. "Town" consists of a friendly village that takes approximately 5 minutes to cross, the surf point that made Mompiche famous is a 5-10 minute walk past colorful fishing boats down a beautiful tropical beach, and mile upon mile of picturesque oceanfront hikes are available for exploring both to the north and south of Mompiche proper. We are a tight-knit gregarious tribe of one conservation biologist mom and three multicultural kids. Amy is a travel addict, environmentalist, deep thinker, serial mom, and global citizen. Sons Kai (12), Kingston (9), and Reef Maverick (7) are a gaggle of adventure-seeking boys that could teach us all a thing or two about how to best squeeze the juice out of life. Now living in Mexico (but with always itchy feet), our prior homes have included California, Bali, Ecuador, Guatemala, and Belize. The four of us agree: there is nothing better in this life than exploring the unknown with people that you love.
I have Airbnb-ed our Ecuador properties for years, including what used to be our primary home. I understand the trust required to let people into your home, the fundamental importance of clear communication, how to "make space" for guests, and what it feels like to return after thoughtful travelers have been there.
