Neighbourhood

The house is located at the tip of a peninsula overlooking the gorges of the Loire River and Lake Saint Victor-sur-Loire, in a tiny hamlet in the heart of the protected nature reserve next to the reserve house. Many opportunities for walking or cycling to explore the nature reserve. Base nautique de Saint Victor-sur-Loire on the beach with lifeguards in summer, you can swim, boating, canoeing, sailing and pedalo. Sites climbing nearby, horseback riding, numerous restaurants to taste the specialties Forézienne and Lyonnnaise. Discovery of small medieval village of Saint Victor sur Loire,Castle of Essalois Chambles tower overlooking the gorge, the pretty hamlet Les Camaldules waterfront, Grangent Island and its castle, the dam Grangent ... All amenities 5 minutes by car (bakery, press and tobacco, hair salon, essence station) and 10 minutes by car (all shops, supermarkets ...) The city of Saint-Etienne is located close (12 Km) with its museums (modern art, mining, and industrial arts ...) and international city of design, as well as Firminy (10 Km) and the architectural Corbusier, the Pilat Natural Park (20 Km) with its many walks in the woods, small villages, luge and skiing in winter ... The zoo of Saint Martin la plaine (40 km) Lyon (70 Km, 1h) the City of Light World Heritage of Unesco. Le Puy en Velay (70 Km, 1h) its religious monuments on the route of the chemin de Saint Jacques de Compostela, the Loire Valley and the first Loire castles in the Haute-Loire (15 min to 1 hour).
