Welcome to our family home in beautiful Lake Cathie, on the NSW Mid North Coast of Australia!
We're lucky to live in a relaxed coastal community, just 20 minutes south of Port Macquarie. Our home is tucked away in a quiet, safe cul-de-sac and is a wonderful base for families wanting to experience the Australian coastal lifestyle.
Our home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, comfortable open-plan living, ducted air conditioning and a fantastic home office, comfortably set up for two people to work remotely.
We're ideally located just 200m from local shops, cafes and the tavern, and around 800m from Lake Cathie and a great local surf break. There's plenty to enjoy outdoors, including surfing, swimming, fishing, kayaking, kite surfing, cycling and exploring the beautiful coastline.
It's particularly well set up for families, with a dedicated playroom, trampoline and outdoor space for children. There's a good local public school just five minutes away, with a range of private schools in nearby Port Macquarie.
One of our favourite features is the beautiful elevated entertaining deck, surrounded by greenery and with a lovely treehouse feel. It's the perfect spot for a morning coffee, long lunch or evening drink.
We also have a friendly dog and backyard chickens who we'd ideally love to keep at home during a swap. We'd be happy to discuss the arrangements for their care.
Lake Cathie is a fantastic base for exploring the Mid North Coast, with beautiful beaches, national parks, coastal walks and plenty of outdoor adventures nearby.

We're a family of four from regional Australia, with two young children aged 4 and 7, looking for an overseas house swap for 3–9 months.
We're hoping to take a family sabbatical and embrace a different pace of life – giving the kids the opportunity to experience a new culture, learn another language and attend a local school, while we immerse ourselves in everyday life somewhere new.
We're particularly interested in a Spanish-speaking country, although we're open to possibilities. Ideally, we'd love a family-friendly home in a great community, within easy reach of a good local school and plenty of fun outdoor activities. We're an active family and would love to be somewhere with opportunities for surfing, kite surfing, skiing, hiking or other outdoor adventures.
We also have a much-loved dog and a few chickens, who we'd ideally love to include as part of the swap.
We're not looking for a holiday so much as a chance to temporarily call somewhere else home, make connections, experience a different way of life and create some wonderful family memories along the way.
We're excited to connect with like-minded families who might be interested in a longer-term exchange!
