Our home is located on the heights of a small residential development made up of ultra-friendly neighbors. It is nestled in the foliage of a maple forest and has large terraces under the trees. The openings on the surrounding landscape reveal large golden fields of cereal cultivation and the mountains of Vermont loom on the horizon. We live 5 minutes from Missisquoi Bay, in the northern part of Great Lake Champlain which borders Canada and the United States. The large city of Montreal is 50 minutes from our house, easily accessible by highway.
The Space
The main rooms located on the ground floor are largely open to the landscape. A very large patio door gives access to the three terraces accessible in spring/summer/fall. A kitchen separate from the main living area, a powder room and a vestibule closed by French doors complete the facilities. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and an office space, the bathroom and the laundry area.
Guest Access
Two flights of wooden stairs give access to the front door of the house, since it is built on the heights of a small rocky massif. The rooms of the house are spread over two floors.

We are a retired couple in their sixties - ex-teacher and carpenter and home designer - who have left the city in recent years to come and live in the countryside. We live in a contemporary house with 2 bedrooms and an office space in a small hamlet in Quebec, on the border with Vermont.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
