General Overview

Our home is cozy and well cared for with an amazing amount of natural light throughout. A large deck overlooks our 2-acre property with variety of trees, grasses, and perennials. Country feel, but close to town.

Ground floor: enclosed entryway, office/music room, kitchen, living room with gas fireplace, den with TV, master bedroom, full bath. Second floor: two kids' bedrooms, full bathroom, bonus space (could be office). Basement is semi-finished and has wall-to-wall carpeting: laundry, ping pong table, futon, books and games.

Neighbourhood

We live ~ 10 minutes outside Saratoga Springs, a popular tourist destination for the horse racing, Victorian downtown, restaurants, coffee shops, independent bookstores, etc. We are also close to hiking in the Adirondack mountains. Biking is also popular in our area.

Nearest airport

Albany airport is half an hour away. There is a Amtrak station in Albany and in Saratoga Springs.

We are professors at Skidmore College, a small liberal arts college in upstate New York. We have one prior experience with home exchange which was simply arranged through a mutual friend. Otherwise, we have rented our house when traveling in the summer or during the academic year on sabbatical. We have two grown sons: one in college and one working in Minneapolis.
