Michele
Hello there, I’m Michele.
Irish by birth, a Londoner by circumstance, and a performer in the arts by profession.
I’ve reached that rather wonderful point in life where experiences feel far more valuable than possessions. A cupboard full of things does very little for me these days, but a story, an adventure, an unexpected friendship or a memorable sunset in a place I’ve never been before is worth its weight in gold.
Curiosity is probably my defining characteristic.
I’m endlessly fascinated by people, places and the peculiar details that make life interesting. I have a soft spot for the unconventional, the eccentric and the slightly unexpected. Give me a quirky local tradition, a hidden bookshop, a ramshackle café with character or a conversation with someone who sees the world differently, and I’m happy out.
As a solo traveller, I’ve never been drawn to anonymous hotels. I’d much rather stay in a real home with a real story behind it. I love the thought of borrowing someone else’s corner of the world for a while, living like a local, and benefiting from the sort of recommendations only residents know about.
I’m equally happy wandering city streets, exploring wild coastlines, discovering mountain villages or saying yes to somewhere I’ve never even heard of before. Some of my best adventures have started with curiosity and very little planning.
An ex super host on Airbnb I’ve made many friends around the world.
I adore animals, enjoy meeting fellow creatives but also people from different walks of life. I consider myself a respectful and thoughtful guest. I’ll care for your home as I would hope you would care for mine.
My home is practical quirky and a peaceful haven. Woolwich has excellent transport links to explore the delights of London.
If your home comes with a bit of character, a few recommendations and the possibility of an adventure, we’ll probably get along splendidly.
