Welcome to our beautifully renovated Cape Cod home in one of Southwest Portland's most charming and family-friendly neighborhoods! Our home combines classic character with modern comforts, and its location makes it a wonderful base for exploring Portland and the spectacular Pacific Northwest.
Our Home
Our four-bedroom, two-bathroom home has been thoughtfully renovated throughout, preserving its classic Cape Cod charm while providing a comfortable, modern living space.
The beautifully remodeled kitchen features quartz countertops, updated cabinetry, and modern appliances, making it a pleasure to prepare family meals or enjoy a relaxed breakfast before heading out for the day.
The home is bright and welcoming, with plenty of natural light, updated flooring, and comfortable spaces to gather or unwind. Central heating and air conditioning keep the house comfortable throughout the year.
Outside, you'll find a lovely deck and outdoor space, perfect for morning coffee, family meals, or relaxing on a summer evening.
We also have a detached, heated garage that currently serves as a workout space.
An Incredible Walkable Neighborhood
One of the things we love most about our home is its location. We're just three blocks from both Gabriel Park and Multnomah Village, giving you the best of Portland's outdoor recreation and neighborhood culture right at your doorstep.
Gabriel Park is a fantastic place for families and outdoor enthusiasts. It features tennis, pickleball, basketball and volleyball courts, soccer fields, a skatepark, a wonderful playground, and peaceful forested walking trails. Whether you're looking for a morning walk, a game of tennis, or an afternoon with the kids, there's something for everyone.
Multnomah Village feels like a charming little town tucked into the city. It's filled with excellent restaurants, independent shops, inviting coffeehouses, and neighborhood events. The French Quarter food cart pod is a local favorite, with a variety of delicious food options, outdoor seating, and live music on many weekends.
We love being able to walk to so many wonderful places without getting in the car!
Explore Portland and the Pacific Northwest
Our home is also a fantastic base for discovering the natural beauty of Oregon. Within easy reach are some of the most spectacular landscapes in the western United States.
The Oregon Coast: Explore rugged headlands, expansive sandy beaches, tide pools, and picturesque coastal towns. A wonderful destination for a day trip or weekend adventure.
Mount Hood: Enjoy mountain hiking, alpine lakes, wildflowers, skiing, and breathtaking views of Oregon's iconic volcanic peak.
The Columbia River Gorge: Discover spectacular waterfalls, dramatic cliffs, beautiful hiking trails, and scenic viewpoints along the Columbia River.
Tillamook State Forest: Explore lush temperate rainforests, rivers, and miles of trails.
The Willamette and Columbia Rivers: Enjoy waterfront parks, kayaking, paddleboarding, and other outdoor recreation.
And of course, Portland itself has plenty to discover, from its renowned food scene and coffee culture to gardens, museums, bookstores, farmers markets, and vibrant neighborhoods.
A Wonderful Home Base for Families
Our home is especially well suited to families who want the comfort of a real home while exploring somewhere new. With four bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor space, and a fantastic park just a short walk away, it's easy to settle in and enjoy a relaxed stay.
We're a family of four with two school-aged daughters, and we love traveling, exploring nature, and discovering new cultures. As educators, we have flexibility during school holidays and summer vacations and are excited about the possibility of exchanging homes with families around the world.
We hope you'll enjoy our home, neighborhood, and beautiful corner of Oregon as much as we do!
