General Overview
Welcome to our bright, spacious 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom family home in Seattle! We love to host dinners indoors and out, so our home is set up with an amazing kitchen and eating areas. Located just blocks from Lake Washington, our home offers the best of Seattle living—a quiet, friendly neighborhood within a 15-minute drive to downtown, 30 minutes to Sea-Tac Airport, and steps away from excellent public transportation options.
The Space
Our house features three floors.
The main floor is accessible from a parking pad off the kitchen mudroom. On the main floor we have a spacious kitchen (with all the appliances you can think of), dining room, bar/playroom, double living room with two seating areas and a fireplace, large covered porch with unblocked views of the lake and mountains, one bedroom, one full bath and an office.
On the upper floor 2nd story), we have a sitting area with a tv, children’s bedroom with twin bed and dedicated bathroom and a large primary bedroom with en-suite.
The daylight basement has a bedroom, bathroom with shower, family room with tv, laundry and walk out to the patio, where you can enjoy outdoor couches, a gas grill and pizza oven. We have regular gardeners who maintain the outdoor spaces

3 floors: one bed/bath on main level, 2 up (primary and children’s room, and one on daylight basement floor. Not a great setup if you have mobility issues

Neighbourhood
We live in a quiet, residential neighborhood with coffee shops and a few restaurants 2-3 blocks away. Within a mile/1.5 kilometers, there is another commercial stretch with more restaurants, a postal store, Starbucks, and an amazing neighborhood grocery with a stellar wine collection.
Getting to my home
Our home is located near downtown Seattle, 30 minutes' driving time from SeaTac International Airport (or ~45 minutes with light rail and bus).
Nearest airport
SeaTac International Airport is 25-30 mins by car, 45 mins by light rail. As of 2026, 37 airlines operate at Sea–Tac, serving 96 domestic and 37 international destinations.
Getting Around
Our home is centrally located near downtown Seattle, with bus stops and light rail stations located within walking distance of our home.
Travelling by car is generally the fastest way to get around Seattle, but the following are easily accessible from our home with public transportation:
* Downtown Seattle - 25 minutes (bus or light rail)
* Downtown Stadiums - 35 minutes (bus or light rail)
* Seattle Center (Climate Pledge Arena, Space Needle, museums, opera, ballet, theaters) - 35 minutes (bus)
* University of Washington and Husky Stadium - 40 minutes (bus)
* SeaTac International Airport - 45 minutes (bus and light rail)
* Downtown Bellevue - 45 minutes (light rail)
* Downtown Redmond/Microsoft Campus - 1 hour (light rail)
Our neighborhood is very hilly, so e-bikes (which are available for rent via Lime) are easier to use

We are Mara, Andy, and our active 3.5-year-old daughter, Phoebe, along with our two easygoing cats. We’re experienced world travelers, and lately have been hosting au pairs for childcare (love building our international community and welcoming guests to our home).
