Neighbourhood
Curumbin is a beautiful spot and the beach across the road is a nice quiet spot.
There are two playgrounds and BBQ areas right on the beach.
500m in either direction are the Currumbin Surf Club and Tugun Surf Club which offer great views, food and drinks (you may also be able to organise a courtesy bus pick up and drop off).
Right next door to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and public transport directly out the front.
Approximately 40 minutes by car to the theme parks - Dreamworld, Movie World & Sea World - straight up the M1 motorway.
We are also just under an hours drive away from Byron Bay and if you travel north Brisbane is about 1.5 hours away.
Nearest airport
The Gold Coast airport (Coolangatta) is an easy 10 minute drive and you can use the drive sharing apps (uber etc), taxis or hire a rental car.
Getting around
Local shops and bars at Tugun are an easy walk (under 10 minutes) along the oceanway or walk up over the hill.
Coffee shops and surf clubs at Currumbin beachfront.
Public buses out the front.
Surf clubs and the Currumbin RSL have courtesy bus that will come and collect you and drop off at the complex.
If you plan on exploring the Gold Coast, would recommend you hire a car.
