Welcome to our lovely 3-bedroom new-build home in the Peak District, England 🏡
Our home is modern, comfortable and spacious, with everything you need for a relaxing extended stay. We have a cosy living room, fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, bathrooms, a private garden and parking.
We’re based near Buxton, surrounded by the beautiful Peak District, while still being within easy reach of Manchester for shopping, restaurants, nightlife and the airport. There are also regular train connections for exploring other parts of the UK, including London.
We’re particularly interested in a long-term simultaneous home exchange, ideally around September 2027–August 2029. We’d love to find someone from Montreal who would enjoy having a comfortable UK home for an extended period while we spend time living in Montreal.
We’re a couple and would look after your home as if it were our own, and we’d be happy to share plenty of information about our area and help you settle in. ❤️
The Space
It’s set over two floors and has plenty of space for a couple or small family staying for a longer period.
Downstairs there’s a spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen and dining area, plus a convenient downstairs WC. Upstairs are three bedrooms and the main bathroom, with plenty of storage and privacy.
Outside, we have a private garden, driveway parking and a dedicated EV charger, making it convenient for anyone with an electric car.
The house is fully furnished and set up as a proper home rather than a holiday rental, making it particularly suitable for someone wanting to live in England for several months or longer. 🏡🇬🇧
Guest Access
Guests will have full private access to the entire home, including all 3 bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining area, garden and driveway.
You’ll also have use of the EV charger and parking space. The house will be fully furnished and ready to live in, with everything you’d need for a comfortable extended stay.
We’ll provide keys/access details and a clear guide to the house, appliances and local area before your stay. 🏡✨
Notes
We’re especially interested in a long-term simultaneous home exchange, ideally from around September 2027 to August 2029, while we spend time living in Montreal.
We’d love to find someone who is looking for a genuine home away from home in the UK for an extended period. We’re happy to answer any questions, share more photos and information, and arrange a video call so we can get to know each other before agreeing to anything.

Neighbourhood
Our home is located in a quiet, friendly residential area just outside Buxton, in the heart of the beautiful Peak District. 🌿
Buxton is a charming spa town with plenty of independent shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and bars, as well as the famous Buxton Opera House and Pavilion Gardens. There are lots of local places to explore without needing to travel far.
The surrounding Peak District is perfect for exploring pretty villages, historic towns and countryside, while Manchester is also within easy reach for a bigger city experience, shopping, nightlife and the airport.
For longer trips, Buxton has a railway station with connections towards Manchester and beyond, making it possible to explore other parts of England without always needing a car.
It’s a great base if you want a mixture of peaceful countryside living with easy access to a major UK city. 🏡🇬🇧
Getting to my home
Manchester Airport is around 1 hour from our home by car, making it a convenient base for international arrivals.
🚗 By car: The easiest option is to hire a car at Manchester Airport and drive directly to us. We have private driveway parking and an EV charger at the house.
🚆 By public transport: You can take a train from Manchester Airport to Buxton, usually with a change in Manchester. Buxton has its own railway station, and from there you can take a short taxi journey to our home.
🚕 Taxi: A taxi or private transfer from Manchester Airport is also an option if you have lots of luggage.
Manchester Airport is particularly convenient for us as it has lots of UK, European and international connections, while our home gives you a quieter Peak District base away from the city.

Getting Around
Having a car is useful for exploring the Peak District and surrounding towns, but it’s not essential for everyday life.
Buxton has local bus services and a railway station, with train connections towards Manchester and other parts of the UK. There are also taxis available locally.
For exploring further afield, having access to a car makes things much easier. Guests can use the driveway parking and EV charger at our home.
Manchester is easily accessible by car or public transport, and Manchester Airport is also convenient for travelling around the UK and internationally.
For anyone staying long-term, we’re happy to share our favourite local places, transport tips and recommendations to help you get settled.

Emily
We’re Emily and Callum, a couple from England, and we’ll be travelling together to Montreal, Canada for an extended stay.
We’re both in our early 20s and are looking for a long-term simultaneous home exchange, ideally from around September 2027 to August 2029.
We’re excited to experience life in Montreal while giving someone the opportunity to experience living in England and exploring the Peak District from our home.
We’re clean, respectful and house-proud, and would treat someone else’s home exactly as we’d want them to treat ours. We’re looking for a genuine exchange where both sides can feel comfortable and confident leaving their home in the other person’s care.
We’d love to get to know potential exchange partners beforehand, chat over video call and make sure it’s a great fit for everyone.
