General Overview

We are excited to share our sunny waterfront home in beautiful Charleston! The entire first floor has been freshly updated and features an open-concept living and dining area, with lots of windows overlooking Clark Sound. The master bedroom suite includes a king bed, couch for lounging, TV, walk in closet, marble shower and soaker tub. Wake up to the beautiful view of Clark sound, and tidal creek water views throughout the entire first floor.  Windows abound offering natural light throughout the house. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the appliances and gadgets that you will need, including a pantry with a washer and dryer. The coffee area sits next to a spacious dining area, with a table that opens up to seat 10. The two story living room and cozy sunroom offer very comfortable seating to relax. Upstairs, you’ll find two additional bedrooms with comfortable queen beds, a full bathroom, and a dedicated office with high-speed internet—perfect for working remotely while enjoying a true vacation setting.

Step outside to a large backyard that opens directly onto Clark Sound and into the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy morning coffee on the cushioned outdoor patio furniture, or gather around the outdoor fire pit for a relaxing evening under the stars.  The nights when a full moon cascades its reflection upon the water is truly magical. You can also enjoy the 3 kayaks, 2 surf boards, 2 bikes and outdoor games like axe throwing & corn hole, in addition to a cabinet of indoor board and card games inside the house.

Guest Access

We have a two story home with stairs up to the entrance and to the second floor. There are also stairs from the back patio to the back yard.

Neighbourhood

We live in a friendly, active but quiet neighborhood that includes a pool (April-October), tennis and pickleball court, basketball, fishing pond and a ping pong table under the cabana - all free to use next to the neighborhood bird sanctuary. Neighbors are out walking, kids fishing - it's so nice. We also have a mahjong and book club.

You will need a car to get to our home and around Charleston. We are a 35 minute drive to the airport.

You will need a car to get around. The beach, shops, restaurants, historical downtown and grocery stores are all within a 10 minute drive.

Hello! We are newly empty nesters from beautiful Charleston, South Carolina, and are excited to join PLU in this new stage of our lives! We appreciate good food, architecture, family & friends. Our hope is to arrange a one-month home exchange in Southern Europe in 2027. We would love a village or city with moderate to warm weather with walking access to bakeries, shops, cafés, and the town center.

We both work remotely—my husband is in IT and I work in investments—so a desk with reliable high-speed internet is important. 

Our home is ideal for a month-long exchange, as our HOA requires stays of 28 nights or longer. Charleston is beautiful! It offers historic charm, sandy beaches, harbor cruises, golf and tennis, art galleries and an outstanding Southern coastal food scene. We are excited to host you and can't wait for you to enjoy it here, like we do!
